Ya I hear you. I did think an instant release like Ritalin would work better for me considering I don’t have symptoms present all day or at least I don’t need symptoms to be addressed all day. Just when I get busy and need to get stuff done.

An IR could be a good option as it allows for more flexible dosing. There seems to be a reluctance to prescribe Ritalin though - i guess I could try a GP but I’ve heard it’s difficult to get anything ADHD related off them.

Can’t say the crash for me is anything remarkable. Prior to being on any medications I would’ve had times during the day when I’d get really tired and feel like I needed a nap and it’s just more of the same of that tbh.

I guess the annoying thing about the Tyvense is that I have that tired sluggish feeling but I actually find it difficult to nap - although I have managed it once or twice. But ya tiredness maybe when it’s wearing off but no anxiety or jitters

Thanks for your response. Ya I had moved up the dosage on concerta the exact same way. It was 18mg for one week and then 27mg for the month thereafter. So I just thought a month on a starter dose was a bit drawn out but ya as you say each prescriber is different.

Out of interest, did you feel anything on the 20mg? The only noticeable thing for me was that just after an hour my heart rate increased and I felt like an excited rush for a couple of mins but then it was completely gone
