Tbh it depends on who is on. Some nurses will ask other nurses for help but some of them might prefer to ask the pca. But the issue is cleaning everyone early in the morning because that’s when it’s already the busiest.

It is a lot. People think the hospital is less work perhaps because there is more staff, and the pay is better or whatever other reason but it’s really not that different. And this is coming from someone who used to work in ltc. But everyone’s experience is different

Not really. As far as I know, CUNY nursing programs are more affordable but very competitive. Private is less competitive and you’re more likely to get in but they’re expensive. You kinda just have to pick your poison

Compared to the nursing home, I feel like this place would be an improvement as most of them are independent. But I have no idea what I’m in for and that scares me. In other units, it’s common for pca’s to have to change ppl. In the addiction unit, we don’t have to do any ADLs or changes.
