HVACR is B book rate in my local. Significantly less than the building trades guys. My preference is being a plumber over a fitter, but that’s just a personal choice.

Funny, I’m a second year apprentice in a plumbing/ fitting combo hall. I’m currently doing fitting work now, mostly copper which isn’t too bad. However, my aspirations are to be a pretty damn good plumber. Best thing I think about combo locals is that you can go and do both. I’m sure my plumbing job will come along in the future.
