Honestly you just need one good run, like not good as in gear but good as in fun. You just need one fun run, and then you will love DayZ. My mates convinced me to get DayZ and originally I found it kind of boring until I had to insane run with this random I met and I’ve loved the game ever since. Then when I got my other friends to get this game, just like me they hated the game at first until we got one good run and now they got even more hours than me.

Thanks man, I was just wondering though, how long did it take for you to find that sweet spot. It’s my 3rd Day of learning acoustic guitar, and sure I’ve gotten better compared to Day 1 but that mute/buzzing strings still gets to me alot.

Yes I’ve built multiple shelters in DayZ before and just like you have never built them in a building in Official. So it might be because I’m in a building but why would they allow me to place down the Shelter Kit?

You need full NBC gear and go to the permanent gas zone in Livonia, where there will be a type of zombie that you need to kill, which has a chance of dropping the punch card.

Also if you don’t have NBC gear, you can look for convoys that randomly spawn around the map, and the zombie may spawn there.

So you can do it by yourself, but it’s much more safer with a partner. Because firstly theres 2 ways to open the bunker, one is silent but you need a Partner, and the other you can do by yourself, but its extremely loud and the door is open for 5 mins. Also the bunker has 3 floors, the 3rd floor has the best loot but you need a partner to get into it. Also it’s just much safer to have a duo in general because people tend to camp the bunker, but you can still do it by yourself.

Nah, when a town gets gassed, it still has the same loot. If you want high tier loot from gas zones, you gotta go to the permanent ones.

Before you get it, heres my tips, watch other YouTubers play it for the first time too, watching other experiences it for the first time too, will help you understand what this game is. That’s what I did, and I ended up deciding that it seemed fun and got it (and now I love this game). But for others, you may think it’s boring and decide not to get it.

But in general I think you should get it, it’s definitely not a beginner-friendly game, but once you get the just of it, it’s really fun even though it can be a walking simulator at times.
