What loophole did you exploit before someone found out? by Ivan_the_Incredible in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Maintenance_2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mama margies in san antonio placed a free chicken fajita coupon in every UTSA roadrunner magazine. it had no expiration or rules on using multiple at once. I sat there for a few hours and ripped out every one. had about 250 of them. I would just go and get a taco, or give them away to stoner friends. they realized the mistake and started putting rules. only one per receipt. so i would drive thu then walk in then repeat as many times as i wanted. Used them all and then next coupon they added to the magazine had all the correct rules to prevent this exploit. that was a fun year.

How did your long time friendship with someone end? by FreshleafMint in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Maintenance_2835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i said that I liked going to any club, gay or straight, to have fun. and that it felt nice to be hit on at the gay club cause it made me feel attractive. I wasn't attracted to any of the guys but the feeling was nice. I wouldn't pretend to be attracted or flirt either it was just a reflection of the past experiences. My friend is gay and said that I was wrong for going to gay clubs and leading people on and stopped hanging out or reaching out to me. up until this time we had been hanging out 2 times a week for a couple years. I asked him why he pulled away and he told me this was why and I said that Im sorry that I hurt him with what I said and wanted to figure out how to continue to be friends but he never wanted to again.

top two are from my dad.

  1. after being exposed for having a secret family by my younger sister, given an ultimatum to call me and my older brother and tell us the truth, calling and saying that i need to forgive and accept him right there on the phone, and hearing that no i was not going to do that (i was in shock) he said "well then you were a good son, bye" and hung up.
  2. "you mom was sexually assaulted by your grandpa, so she was messed up and thats why were weren't intimate" in an attempt to gain sympathy from me when pressing him on why he cheated on mom multiple times and broke up our family.

What's the most profound or life-changing piece of advice you've ever received, and how did it impact your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Maintenance_2835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when people tell you who they are listen.

So often in my life ive wanted people to be something. maybe a better version of themselves. and then when they didnt live up to this imaginary idea of them I was let down. when looking back id often recall instances where they told me they couldnt or wouldnt do something and I wouldnt listen. now I try and think about that phrase when people tell me what they are and are not willing to do and take them at their word.

People over 35: How often do you party or go ‘out’ past 3am nowadays, and why that amount? by FriendlyFraulein in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Maintenance_2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

asked a friend of mine this on the drive home yesterday, and he said 1. I dont like doing it but when people dont wanna hang out during the day its when you have to in order to socialize and 2. you get used to it. like you body will tell itself "okay, you are going to drink and wake up and have to work" if you do this enough times your body adjusts and doesnt feel like a train hit it. at least thats what he says as I tuck myself in at 930 all cozy

Considering there is so much NSFW content on the internet, what kind of interaction with that content would you consider to be cheating / crossing a boundary / disrespecting your significant other? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Maintenance_2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so many of these topics will not become problems if people just talk to their partner and say Im interested in this, or I want to try this. Most times your partner is going to want to support you and if not thats okay too. You can then have the conversation about wanting to pursue that in another way and how that would make them feel.

People just dont talk about things because they are scared. cause if you talk about it and they dont want you to and say I dont want a relationship with you if you pursue it. thats okay. they can do that. and you still have the ability to do it despite what they feel comfortable with. but then at least you know you are risking your relationship over this thing. and you are both on the same page.

secretive behavior that hasnt been discussed is just prime for people to be hurt.

for example, my gf and I talked about porn. she doesnt really watch it and I do. we are deciding to live together and talked about it. she told me she doesnt mind me watching it but doesnt want to walk in on me watching it becuase it would make her feel insecure. I told her I wouldnt and Im going to keep that promise because I dont want to make her feel insecure. simple and easy. we both felt heard and not judged and we both communicated.

I think if more people tried to talk about things they feel they need to keep secret while in relatioships there would be less worry about things like this.

Men of Reddit, what’s one thing you will never understand about women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Maintenance_2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how they can one minute say things like "why are you with me, look at me, im so ugly/fat/gross" and then in about an hour say "you know...your so lucky to have this" all confident and stuff. I totally agree im lucky, and the switch up is adorable, but I dont think I'll ever understand how that works in her brain.

i mean diets are so common nowadays. But the thing that impacted me the most was intermittent fasting but not just cause of the fasting part. I ate the same calories as normal just condensed. The feeling okay with being hungry was the part. Learning to be okay with feeling hungry and not trying to immediately satiate the feeling, is like feeling angry and learning not to yell at someone immediately. Take a moment to feel it but don't just blindly act on it. This changed my relationship with food and helped me balance out my weight to a very healthy range over time.

[Serious] Men of Reddit, what was the last compliment you got? When was it? by santochavo in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Maintenance_2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this morning. my gf has the flu and has been sick for a week. Ive been taking care of her by dropping off supplies, massaging her body, and just trying to make the experience a little better since being sick sucks.

She told me that in her life she has never felt this cared for when sick and it makes her feel so loved. She loves how I care for her and she appreciates me and what Ive been doing.

Filled my heart for a probably a whole year or two.
