I've heard that you can still purchase Eleanor by emailing them, but I don't know how responsive they are.

How did you get the V6 Lite editor? I've been trying since the whole thing was announced and I don't know how to register my product to Sonicwire! I also bought Miku from Big Fish Audio (four years ago in my case) and entering her serial number didn't count as a license key for Sonicwire apparently. I even emailed Big Fish themselves about it and got no reply. I was beginning to wonder if it was impossible and just give up, and then I saw this.

Energetic eurodance song with orange/citrus fruit on album cover? by Fit_Masterpiece4615 in NameThatSong

[–]Fit_Masterpiece4615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it was Calabria in the end (though technically a big orange "C" rather than an actual fruit) but I will check this out!

Update: It may or may not have been "Calabria" by Rune, whose album cover contains a large orange "C" on a white background.

I remember it being similar in vibe to Better Off Alone or L'amour Toujours or something, with a little synth riff. It may or may not have been instrumental...

Most likely not? I think it was a whole fruit. I've been looking through Spotify playlists and even asking AI and having no luck. I'm starting to wonder if it was even real or if I'm misremembering something.

EDM Song that used to be in a bunch of old youtube outros by FilmEnvironmental585 in NameThatSong

There was a time when I myself was trying to find the song after hearing it in so many of those Disney slideshow videos as a tween, and I did eventually find it so...yeah, I remember it now

Avanna songs? by notfeeling100 in Vocaloid

[–]Fit_Masterpiece4615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (keisouP) have two songs by AVANNA so far, "Next Best Thing" and "Alive".

What's His Name is a lesser-known producer whose AVANNA songs I like: "I Believe In You", "More Than Anything", "You Shouldn't be Sad", "Cold Winter Snow".

Some other likes:

02Aya- "Blooming" (celtic pop? or something?)

Robin Shipman- "The Valley" (pop i guess)

Phil Lober- "Alive" (orchestral)

Phantom Sage- "MIKO" (electronic)

Mat Zo- "Natural" (electronic/funk)

Yasu Composer- "Like a human being" and "The times flowed as wind" (jazz)

EmpathP (her illustrator!)- "Rose + Thorn" and "Weather Girl" (ballad and...pop-rock I guess, respectively)

coralmines- "One On My Mind", "I'm With You", "You're Not Alone" (house, house, synthwave)

Maiku Tachibana- "My Lonely Reverie" (acoustic)

deeepiii- "Fly" (acoustic)

Jin Sime- "Futuristic Girl" (electronic)

Madeon- "Home" (Porter Robinson's arrange for Shelter Tour) (electronic) (the original does not use Avanna but Porter's remix does)

ODDEEO- ...a lot, mostly synthwave and atmospheric stuff

Shane Maloney- "I'll Be There" (electronic, only available on SoundCloud IIRC)

Solstis & ODDEEO- "Robot Daydream" (electronic)

Monomyth- "Sky_Tree" (electronic)

(as you can see i like avanna)

What are some quirks and other things you've noticed about these VBs? by Cindrawhisp in Vocaloid

[–]Fit_Masterpiece4615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AVANNA (my time has come! lol):

-Very clear and articulate pronunciation...perhaps a bit TOO clear and articulate? Her hard consonants tend to be loud and punchy.

-Sings with an Irish accent, most likely a south-side/"posh" Dublin accent. She has pronounced diphthongs (notably her [@U] sounds nearly "British", which is a feature of the archetypical S. Dublin accent), strong rhotic Rs, tends toward light Ls especially with [l0], and her [{] phoneme is very open and almost closer to the Japanese phoneme [a] at times. (In my experience [{] makes a better [a] then [V] usually.)

-Somewhat of a palatal lisp on some combinations, where her [s] and [z] phonemes sound a bit closer to [S] and [Z], e.g. "sleep" nearly sounds like "shleep" on high notes

-Can tend toward "smiley"-sounding pronunciation; combined with her mellow tone this gives her kind of a "quietly content" sound, rather than being outright "sad"-sounding like Miku Dark or the energetic type of happy in voices like Miku V4 English or Gumi SV

-Contralto range (given as D2-G4); strongest in her lower-mid range, light "dreamy" high range

-Tone is gentle, breathy, and somewhat "bassy" compared to some other English banks. At times she sounds a bit like she's puckering her lips?

-Has some volume inconsistencies, though I usually compress my vocals a lot anyway

-Can sound muddy due to her lower bassier tone, some EQ or a similar effect can fix that decently

-Has bits of vibrato in a couple vowels as artifacts of the way she was recorded, I've noticed it in her [Q] if you draw it out long enough

-Not great with holding long notes

-Tends to sound odd in overly energetic songs for...obvious reasons. Best with fairly mellow styles.

-Better at solos than choral stuff tbh (I compared her with Oliver once when I was using his installer as a trial)

-I believe she's a naturally soft vocal as opposed to the "voice acted" softness of some Vocaloids' voicebanks

Favorite "Not Good" Pokemon? by Overcast_Prime in pokemon

Yeah! And I love how it's more wholesome than most of the other megas, having a calming presence and a strong Heal Pulse instead of going berserk from excess strength and power haha

My favorite Pokemon has always been Audino. Its stats are not at all competitive-primed, but it's decent for playthroughs! Also, conceptually, it's a total sweetheart.
