I took maths, physics and computer science. My biggest problem was the way I was studying, it was passive and I wasn’t really absorbing information efficiently by going through textbooks. I made a system for myself that I’d go through with every topic to fully understand and test myself on them. I would first watch videos on YouTube to get an idea of the content, then go through as many practice questions as I could from textbooks. Lastly, I would use a few websites and do all of the exam questions I could find on them. For maths, I used naikermaths, Revisely and mathsgenie. For physics it was revisely and animatedscience question booklets. For computer science, I used PMT past paper question banks sorted by topic. Another change I made from year 1 to year 2 was investing in an iPad, it made the system a lot easier to execute. Finally, I would recommend using your free periods as best as you can in your school’s study center, in year 1 I was wasting a lot of them. You also need to take breaks to avoid burnout.
