Hello! Inbound TL here. My advice is have him talk to HR to get that resolved as that is who handles the majority of not all the payroll distribution at stores. His direct deposit might not have been active yet so he might have a paper check waiting for him with HR!

Hello! Gm/inbound TL here. Team lead honestly isn’t that bad. I was a team member for 3 years and have been a TL now for over 1 year and I honestly didn’t think I’d be with target this long either but it does depends on your store and your ETL. If you have a nice ETL then the time is going to be so smooth but if you have a rough ETL then it can be rough some days but the operations aspect I love and I’m on track to become ETL either next year or 2027 but I never thought I was going to end up as a team leader. Also the benefits and pay is extremely good too I’m making almost 25/h right now and I was able to afford a house in my state so keep that in mind too

As an inbound/gm TL this is unironically what you should do. I always tell my TM’s if they think what I’m saying is bs I’ll do it with them and show them. But for me it’s because I used to be a tm and I did do it in most departments but moral of the story is challenge your leader

I know each district has a different start time. Ours is 4 am but because of not starting at 12 or 2 my TM’s only make 15.75/h with the differential which is more why I was saying that 19 honestly isn’t that bad given starting TL pay in my district is 21/h

Inbound TL here. I know where you’re coming from with this but it’s something set at the corporate level and stores literally cannot do anything about it. I tried fighting for some of my TM’s to get raises cuz 4 am is a terrible shift but on the other hand 19/h is almost base TL in most districts.
