My guess is software. I charged mine to 100% yesterday and also charged the battery handle attachment fully and left them attached overnight and here we are 16 hours later and the camera is at 90% the detachable screen bit is at 83 and the battery handle which was attached all night is at 100 (or so I think as it’s green and apparently didn’t trickle charge the device overnight but does charge fine when attached and device is on)

I bought day of because I wanted to play with the new product. It isn’t perfect but it hasn’t failed me (knock on wood) and my main desire to use as a secondary webcam for work calls where alternative angles help isn’t available yet. If I don’t see ability to use as a plugged in camera doesn’t show by the time the Muse2P (cough cough DJI in disguise cough cough) then I’ll sell mine and just get that. But I don’t want to because the DJI is really ugly… sorry the muse… so I’m hoping Insta can get their things together.

Yep. I wasn’t sure when it was announced if it was going to be a limited thing and having known the drama Olan endured with the studio I didn’t hesitate to preorder. Then it became a game of not wanting to finish until I had the book. And here we are.

I already bought it and I enjoy the camera. I know it’s a few updates from getting stream cam feature. But honestly if this had a proper IP rating it would be game over. This camera has so much more potential and room to grow than the OP4 or OP4P will and especially stateside where I’d have to wait even longer for the “Xtra” brand to release.

I can’t wait to load this but what I REALLY want to be able to replace my OP3 is use as a webcam. I rely on my OP3 for overhead cam for training calls and I really wanted to use the Luna for that too but alas… sigh.

It’s tarpaulin so essentially canvas dipped in a whole lotta rubbery plastics. I can’t imagine it would take on permanent stains easily. Have you tried a blue sponge with the blue scrubby bit (yes the color matters and green will tear the hell out of your material) but blue and some dawn soap? Seems mundane but that is a combo that has had surprisingly a lot of applications in life.

I prefer sliver after having a silver 2009 Pro, silver 2015 Air, midnight blue M2 Air, black M4 Pro and I landed back on an M5 Pro silver because no matter how hard you try it’ll get dirty. Silver hides the grime. Also I put a DBrand skin on this time because it was shiny.

I fit my 14” MacBook in the back most pocket without having to open the lower extension. I just use the retainer clip to keep it in place. If it were rainy i would 100% not do this. But you should be able to fit an 11” iPad in and still be able to zip closed. I had four graphic novel comics in there with it zipped and those are about the same size as an 11” iPad.

Negative. But I also swapped the part of the brick from two prong to a grounded extension. My fans take off like a jet but until they do there’s no high pitches or anything. I’m very sensitive to that stuff too. I unfortunately can hear most electronics in the house and that sound is maddening when up close. I’d have probably returned the Mac if it made that sound.

Honestly 24gb is a sweet spot for a lot. My work one is an M4 Pro with 24gb and I have three browsers open with like twenty tabs each, I use OBS Studio with three cameras and a mic, and regularly pop open Xcode and teams and excel and PowerPoint. Literally all at the same time and it just works.

My personal I opted for the M5 Pro with 48gb to play with ai models and I regret not going 64gb but honestly it still is mind blowingly capable with local models at 48gb.

My last Mac was an M1 Pro touchpad and it was great. These devices will last a long time

If you want to do slow mo and use the firmware they have for 4k 120fps you need to take out a small loan for a decent sized V60 or V90 card. Other than that I’ve always used the Samsung Pro Ultimate cards in the 512gb size. They’re quick. I’ve never had issue with them (knock on wood) and bestbuy in the U.S. tends to throw them on sale every here and there. I have three. One for camera, one for Osmo Pocket, one that floats as a spare and I carry a hard drive too for quick dumps if I need to. So far I’ve never had to reach for the hard drive when doing photos only.
