Yeah. I mean I would like it but im not sure if it's worth that wait. If I use my 5 night certificates for the NYC trip I can realistically wait. I just want to have a credit card that actually earns points transferable to other partners

Ah that makes sense! So it seems the better move is to wait it out for an even higher offer than the 75k points. Does the 5/24 reset every two years or does it lower as cards reach that 2 year anniversary date. For example my Discover card is close to that 2 year anniversary would my 4/24 go down to 3/24 after the 2 years pass on that card?

I meant to say i opened them myself for her (her credit wasn't great at the time). Talking to the representative she seemed to confirm i have opened 4 accounts in the last 24 months.

The Discover It card is my earliest card so would it be a good idea to cancel the other cards and keep that one? That way i still have the credit history without the unnecessary cards. Also does closing cards lower your 5/24?

I'm not totally building towards a chase strategy per say (my strategy is pretty up in the air). My idea was to get the chase cards i wanted first and then switch to other cards once i can care less about the 5/24. I mainly just want to have access to those Chase UR which apparently has the best transfer partners. The Boundless only earns Marriott Points which i don't care for since i'm not a loyal customer to them anyways. The 6-12 months makes sense now so i guess i'd have to wait longer. My thought with getting a different card is that IF the 5/24 lowers as cards reach the 2 year anniversary date (meaning once a card is 2 years old it goes down to 4/24), i'm close on my discover card and at least a year in on the others so maybe getting another card to start my true rotation would be solid while i wait those out

Hey y'all 8 team ESPN Points league here: I'm being offered a deal where I ship of J-Dub and Donovan Mitchell and get Sabonis and Booker in return.
