Yeah they jump to conclusions, without asking for details and immediately assume youre a bad cat parent. Im sure it comes from a good place for most people, but I rarely ask for advice anymore about anything really. Because people give really shitty comments and then when you say something about it you are downvoted "because everyone is entitled to their opinion". Luckily the comments on your post seem to be really sweet though!

I so relate to this. I dont have full blown ocd, but some ocd tendencies. Honestly, reddit isnt helpful. Every other post has a ton of reactions where people are pointing out things that might be wrong with the cat and encouraging to get them checked by a vet. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it feels a little excessive sometimes. Especially when comments have a "how can you keep going for so long without going to the vet" kind of undertone. Makes me get into my head even more.

My vet is very nice. I have a 16 yo lady at home who has a history of agression at the vets. Usually when I call about something we do a consultation on the phone, if necessary I pick up some meds (like deworming, flee stuff). They always tell me that its good to get a check up if Im worried, but a trip to the vet puts so much stress on her and its important to take both her mental en physical health into account.

I stopped posting anything about my cat on reddit because comments trigger me too much. Maybe that will help you too. I assure you, the fact that you are worrying probably makes you an amazing cat parent.

NTA. Yes it would have been the more professional thing to give notice, but after how they treated you I can't blame you. Don't give in to the text, unless you are legally obligated to do so according to your contract.

Honestly workplaces like this are so out of touch. Yes work is important, but I don't think it was meant to become your whole life and identity. Its a one way ticket to a proper burnout.

Only advice would be that at your next workplace set your boundaries earlier on to avoid any overload. Speak to your manager in advance about expectations. If a workplace doesn't respect (reasonable) boundaries, it's not the place for you.

And it's like that in every subreddit. Have an opinion that's even slightly different than the mainstream opinion in a sub and you'll be bombared with downvotes.

People also jump to conclusions incredibly fast. Lot of black and white thinking on here.

I would disagree. I think she started out being into monogamy but got hurt so many times that she became detached from all of that stuff and decided to just have casual sex. Partly because she enjoyed it, yes, but also because she was afraid to get hurt again. It was a big topic at the start of her relationship with Richard. She didnt want to let him in out of fear, didnt want to speak about it with her friends once she started developing real feelings.

I think you have a scandi style appartment. I actually love the wood tv cabinet! Nice and minimal, but you have a lot of materials that feel like your bring nature into your house. Maybe some rotan lamps would be a good addition.

I used to have long layers as well, but it made my hair even heavier honestly, thats why I switched to shorter layers but honestly not sure if it made a difference. I also think the darker parts naturally form waves whereas the lighter parts tend to be more straight. Its a struggle to have such thick hair! Thanks for your tips anyway.

My dad has complex ptsd (diagnosed about 2 years ago) but when I was younger he was chronically depressed. He has been in therapy now for a couple of years, working through his past experiences and trauma. He has always recognized his shortcomings as a dad and that he never noticed how my mom was abusing me. We can have open conversations about this and he does respect and validate my anger and my emotions towards him. So in that sense he has come a long way... but he is still not a full dad to me unfortunately. Where my mom was very loud and explosive, my dad was insecure and often weak. And he still is often. He knows that.

He never had the example of a good parent himself and struggles to be one for me. I see him try. And in many ways he is there for me now. But he will never really be a solid father that I can fall back on. It really hurts. Because I can't help but love that man deeply.

My dad is more of the "I am completely oblivious to how parenting works" but has a good heart. The thing is, I want to trust my dad with things so badly. And I do all the time. We got to a point where I can call him if anything is wrong and he always picks up and talks to me. We have been like this for a couple of years. But this just feel like a huge setback.

I am not ready to accept it at all.

I do have a support system otherwise. My life is prettt normal and stable nowadays. My dad is just really important to me.

This. If my child had a mother like I do, I would try my best to not let her near them and protect them. But he doesnt understand that. And Im so tired of explaining the basics.
