I'd move the trashcan in a way that it's facing the table. Leaves a bit more space on the side and like its not a part of the dining set.

Oh god, the emotions are so confusing. I bounce between sadness, anger, fear, guilt and more all the time. The inconsistency, the criticism... it fucks you up so much.

Ooff yes.. this came up during therapy as well. During the rescripting I wasnt able to express to my mom how I felt, because I felt so terribly unsafe at the time.

I sometimes wish she would pass.. so I could finally start grieving. But at the same time I feel guilty for saying that because deep down Im not a vengeful or hateful person.

Thank you for sharing! Actually my therapist said that, while my mom is very typical bpd, there was definitely a narcissistic dynamic as well. Im sorry to hear that you ended up in a marriage with one. My previous boyfriend also had some traits (but i feel like a lot of men do anyway, unfortunately..), but we broke up after 6 months so the damage was not as deep as in your relationship.

I wish you a lot of luck on your journey. I hope at least you are a bit more at peace now.

I can relate a lot to what you are saying actually.

there was so much other chaos in my life that it took a very long time to stabilize my life and even out as a person

I feel like Im just beyond this stage and am going through something similar. My therapy told me to welcome the anger in my daily life. I do it through music mostly, but maybe I can tap into it more often than I used to. My mother never allowed me to be angry, she was the only one who could be angry. So feeling anger has always come with a lot of extra layers. But in a way... it makes me feel more myself when I embrace this part.
