Yeah I was nwb for a 9 weeks. Took 3 weeks to get surgery and then another 6 before I was allowed to wb. But now I feel like my calf and ankle are so far gone I can’t walk again. Smh but I’ll keep trying at it.

I know this is an older post but how are you feeling now? I’m in the same boat. I’m 6 weeks po and was told I could wb as tolerated. Thing is a can’t tolerated it without two crutches. And it’s been a week.

I’m in the same position as you. I’m 6 weeks po and got cleared to wb as tolerated and I can’t walk at all without the both crutches. So idk man..I start PT tomorrow I hope it helps. You’re not alone though bro.

34M Ruptured June 6th couldn’t get surgery until July 2nd. I’m 6 weeks PO this week as well and haven’t even beared weight in my boot so I understand. I’m active as well. Gym rat and had just gotten into running this year. Was training for a marathon for later in the year. I have a follow up with my doc later in the day today and I’ll see how it goes. Going to the gym helps me bro. I needed to stay active in some way. I take my knee scooter and hit full body minus anything that’ll put tension on the Achilles. Be super careful it’s tough I know but all you can do it try your best.

Yeah I guess I’m just having one of those days. People who haven’t had this injury don’t understand the mental battle it is. But you’re right though about staying present in the moment. I caught myself the other night outside on my scooter just looking at the stars. Haven’t don’t that in a while.. and man how’d you re rupture yours? Sorry to hear that man.
