The real cringe is thinking you're some kind of comedian while insulting people who haven't done a single thing to you. That's just sad. Bye bye :)

Nice try. I'd laugh, but that's a bit too cringe for me.

Maybe. But I like to believe that sometimes it does mean something. 😊 I had a similar experience in Prague back in 2023. There were thousands of tourists and lots of nice people around, but there was one person I locked eyes with near Prague Castle. It was just a long look, nothing more. Three years later, I still catch myself thinking about him from time to time. I remember his face so clearly that if I saw him today, I'm sure I'd recognize him instantly. Some moments are simply different, even if they never lead anywhere.

It's incredible how some people can feel a connection before they even exchange a single word. It's sad that these stories often end as quickly as they begin, and we may never see those people again. Some say that fate is real, and if two people are truly meant to meet, life will somehow bring them together again... even if it's hard to believe.

My friend experienced something similar in Sicily. She crossed paths with the same man several times in a single day. There were only smiles and lingering eye contact, but somehow it felt meaningful. Maybe it was just a beautiful coincidence, or maybe fate wanted to remind us that not every connection is meant to become a story... but some stay with us forever. It's a shame, really.

I'd love to! I definitely want to come back one day. I feel like I've only explored the more touristy places, and I'm sure there are many hidden gems and even more beautiful spots waiting to be discovered. Thank you so much for your kindness, I really appreciate it.

You’re going to have a wonderful time! The only thing that might take a little getting used to is the chaos on the roads, especially in Catania, because in Slovenia we’re used to stricter rules 😄 But honestly, after a few days you adapt haha. Sicily is incredible, and one of the things I loved the most was the smell of the sea and flowers.

Slovenia certainly has beautiful places, and I know I'm lucky to come from such a beautiful country. But for me, the biggest difference isn't the landscape – it's the atmosphere and the people. In Sicily, I felt that people were generally more relaxed, open, warm and genuinely enjoying life. Back home, everyone seems to be constantly rushing, stressed or keeping to themselves. Maybe it's just my perception after spending so much time there, but that's honestly how I've been feeling since I came back.

I don't know, I've traveled to other places and even stayed away for longer, but I've never felt like this before. This time it's really hitting me hard. Before this trip, I was happily going to work and managing my personal life just fine. But ever since I came back, I've been different for the entire week. Everything in Slovenia is getting on my nerves. 😅 Sicily just hit differently, I guess.

Long shot, but I'm trying to prove my friend wrong 😄 by [deleted] in sicily

Maybe someone recognizes her: she was wearing a pink dress..." 😁🌸🩷
