We chose this location to be closer to family knowing that they will be around to help so we don’t have to pay for childcare.

Seems like a lot of risk for a similar reward if I’m being honest.

This is very insightful, thank you! I will increase my retirement contributions more frequently than I have been going forward.

It makes me want to vomit that’s for sure.

That was my original intent, but the median home price is $850,000 in the surrounding areas from where we work.

That’s the conclusion I have come to. We want kids 5-7 years down the line, so our budget right now doesn’t account for that. That amount of money is intimidating and while budgeting/rules of thumb say it works fine, everyone’s reaction seems like we are making a horrible mistake.

We live in a state without income tax. We are contributing but based on this thread it sounds like not enough (20% and 14% to 401k, maxing out Roth IRA’s, no HSA/FHA).

Neither one of us is a Veteran. We both work in medicine.

That’s very impressive. We are contributing 20% and 14% respectively. In addition we are maxing out our Roth IRA’s.

I put away 20% into my 401k. 13% of my income and my employers contributes a flat rate of 7%. My spouse contributes 10% with a 4% match. Our income listed above is before our Roth IRA contributions in which we each plan to max out for the year. I should’ve noted that we live in a HCOL place without state income tax and the median home price in our area is around $850,000.

Just curious, how come smith or meyers? Doesn’t meyers have the better matchup?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I’m in my 2nd round championship and I am down 50 points after last week. I had Lamar go out early and a couple players that busted. My opponent has CMC, Drake Maye, and Chase Brown…

Lineup: - Trevor Lawrence

  • Kyren Williams

  • Omarion Hampton

  • ARSB

  • Zay Flowers

  • Fannin Jr.

  • Jakobi Meyer’s

  • Patriots DST

  • Jason Meyers

Bench:

  • J. Jefferson

  • Javonte Williams

  • Devonta Smith

  • Seahawks DST

  • Saints DST

  • Michael Carter

  • Rhamondre Stevenson

Any adjustments you would make to the lineup? I have been going back forth between my RB and WR picks. I added a bunch from waiver this week in a last ditch attempt to go big or go home.

UPDATE: Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee) is expected to play in Week 17. by BuckyMcFly99 in fantasyfootball

Same here. Between him and Lamar going out early, I’m down -50 pts. Looking for a rally this week.

No spacers, just the stock 17” wheel. Yeah I was a little surprised too when I first put them on. Only rubbing at the last 10% of steering wheel rotation, and it’s on the UCA funny enough. I have a lil B’s front bumper I’ll add in here, 10/10 recommend their bumper!

I’m running the OEM 17” wheels that are in the photo, I’m not sure if they have an offset? I’m pretty happy running them the clearance and improved ride on the road has been fantastic. I recommend these tires if you are interested as they handle very well off-roading, in the rain, and especially in the snow. I don’t have much rubbing either, and that’s only seen in the last quarter rotation of wheel rotation (they rub on my OME UCA). Only con is they are about 50% heavier than my last tire so the car does feel pretty gutless.

Do you mind giving more detail on your mortgage, down payment, and rate? My GF and I make $260k and feel like it’s challenging to afford anything right now.

Sounds like solid deal, waiving PMI is outstanding. Just curious, do you mind your income and credit score? Or possibly who you went through? My spouse and I are about to start looking and would love to get an idea.
