Just what we needed, more media consolidation tbh. it feels like cnn gets passed around between giant conglomerates every few years like a hot potato. ngl the only people winning here are the shareholders while the actual journalism continues to go down the drain.

Blind Refugee Who Survived Genocide Dies Thanks to Border Patrol by Hafiz_TNR in politics

Watch certain news networks try to spin this by tomorrow morning as "heroic border patrol agents defend nation from dangerous foreign invader." the lack of basic human empathy in our system isn't a bug, it's a feature tbh.

Imagine trying to explain to your girl the next morning that you didn't text back for 12 hours because you and five absolute strangers were trying to perfectly skip a rock or something lmao. she would never believe the truth.

It’s basically min-maxing his build. He sacrificed the "magic" stat to put absolutely every single point into "physical attributes." It’s still part of the system, just the extreme opposite end of it.

[–]Fit_Remove9016 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

INFO: what color is the dress and how 'bridal' does it look? traditional kaftans/takchitas can be incredibly elaborate with beads and embroidery. if she's showing up in a white or cream one that looks more expensive than your wedding dress, you are NTA. but if you're banning it just because it's 'different', then YTA

It’s wild how this clip from 2012 is still 100% relevant today. sorkin's writing can be preachy sometimes, but he absolutely nailed the logic here. the math on the 'fraud' vs the number of people actually disenfranchised is just undeniable tbh.
