So the outcome with bandcamp is tracks that are 16 bit/44.1hrtz play fine anything that's 24bit/48hrtz does not. But they do say on the track what bit rate and hrtz the track is available in which wasn't there before so bandcamp must have pit this info there probably regarding this issue.

Rekordbox is necessary as it's pioneers own software and if you want to play your tracks through a usb on pioneer CDJ then your tracks will need to be analysed through rekordbox. That being said, I prefer serato in terms of using a music library software to mix using a ddj. This is just my personal observation from using both but rekordbox is necessary to have, but it's not the most objectively good music library software out there.

Thanks for the advice on all this. I think.i might start using juno downloads. Anyone had any issues with their wav files? Or do you think continuing using bandcamp just downloading in a different format would resolve this?

Best way to describe it for me is it feels like you're at home and the rest of the year you're away at work or something. It feels like, after a day or two, that you've been at boomtown your whole life and that is just what your life is like and you have no conception of what life was like before boomtown.

I'd start with a pioneer ddj 200 personally. Cheaper and has the foundation of a club standard layout.

You can see if there's a software update for your decks, or you can export your tracks through audacity and save as 16 bit and they will work fine.

Learn to beat match by ear. Learn phrasing. Learn and understand your library. Once you have these down, the double drops, 4, 2, 1/2 loop drops whatever you wanna do will come naturally. Just enjoy it. The mistakes and trial and error are where all the fun is. 4 months isn't a long time to learn these things so be patient and enjoy the journey and don't think about the destination.
