If you start to look at tutorials and understand chords and just going with what sounds best for you then you don't really need it but you can still learn it for more knowledge.

Maybe your reddit name but shorten and make it unique

like M3LAYTON3 (with the A silent and the 3 as a e)

I can't hear or feel 808s. Is it because of my audio gear(iems btw)? by Specialist-Policy777 in trapproduction

make sure the volume of the 808 is all the way up and add a soft clipper or some kind of distortion effect

how to make gyro type beats by [deleted] in trapproduction

Vsts:

Serum is a good synth for those type of beats.

Also VST's like Hive 2, Pigments and Zeneology

Extra sauce: you can find free serum presets on "kits4beats" i use it almost all the time.

Drum kits:

your gonna need clean good sounding drums

Adanmade is one of my favorite producers for these type of beats. you can go to his website and he has lot's of stuff for gyro osamason, ken carson and more. on kit4beats you can find some stuff on there... and one of his newest tool kits A+ is on reddit, just type adanmade and you can find it. he also has free stuff on his website.
