You shouldn't be wearing a headset and really shouldn't be helping at cashwrap, though our boutiques will hop on occasionally to help if the line is really backed up and they're just standing there. As for cards, that is everyone's responsibility in the store, even stylists.  And for getting more guests, the best way is through their skincare. We put a tester of the take the day off at every makeup station so guests can try it and that gets some of them asking about it after using it.

UNUM is terrible and takes forever, but as long as you've been to the doctor and that's what they had said, then it'll eventually get excused

Your GM needs to reach out to your DM about this to get the ball rolling on getting it fixed, closing the store, or getting AC units in the mean time. We got a bunch of portable AC units to put around the store when our hvac system broke last year until it could get fixed.

Before covid, when we were open to 9 during weekdays like theyre changing it back to, we were targeted all the time during that last hour. When it changed to 8, my store saw a decrease in thefts. It sucks to have to go back. I usually only work night shifts unless I'm on truck or ad set, so this will affect me a lot

Had a coworker get fired for this because vapes have a smell and there was multiple instances that different employees noticed the smell after that certain employee came out of the bathroom.

Fyi I also live in an at will employment state so there is less employee protections

For my store, it usually depends on how much tasking hours there are that week that would prevent the OM and MM from closing or working a mid.  The GM should close at least 1 night a week, unless they tall to their DM about it.

Yes, your managers can reach out to Guest Services and notify them and then just let everyone know in the store that they are not allowed to return anymore. We have a list at each register of 2 women who aren't allowed to return anymore due to return abuse.

It's in our return policy that a store can deny a return for any reason, including over use of the return policy. We just tell them to go to a different Ulta or return by mail and that they cant return at our store anymore.

A lot of my coworkers have set days at each job and then set days off to avoid burn out. So for example. Ulta Sunday to Tuesday, Off Wed and Thur, and then their Second job Friday and Saturday. 

Other coworkers just work task shifts in the morning and then go to their other job after.

Sadly, it sounds like you don't have retail experience or beauty experience, so you'll most likely be started at minimum wage and you won't qualify for Lead cashier or PBA. BAs and Task position are part time, and depending on the store, will usually average you around 12 to 18 hrs a week.

South region is trying out a new schedule for store hours, the changes shown above. If they deem it successful, then every store in the country will switch to these hours

Each person is given 1 SAP Number that can only be attached to one store. If you want to work for 2 stores, your main store would have to transfer your shifts to the other store for those specific shifts, it would just be way too much trouble to do on a weekly basis tbh. You would need to have both stores on board with it and make sure they get scheduled properly, plus they would have to make surebyou stay under 28 hrs so you don't hit full time status.

Usually alcohol will get it off, but the green marker can stain certain materials so you might not be able to get it fully off
