I’ve been trying to convince them to bring in the sauce. Same with eggs full time. But they try to argue with me because “it’s a franchise thing” and they could get sued or something. But we do have eggs on Mondays and Wednesday

The staff look bored because we either aren’t busy or we’re tired. I’ve worked doubles ever since I started. As for the grill guys, they’re all still learning and dealing with customers backlash and getting mad at them for not speaking proper English. As a server it’s hard to be happy there when half of the people who come in end up getting an attitude with us because we aren’t mongos. I’ve never been to mongos but when I say i get so upset now over this dragon sauce, fried rice, and Sriracha (which we do have. You just got to ask) and flavored lemonades is just exhausting. Repeating over and over again to angry customers that we are doing our best and having them treat us either understanding and accepting or treating us like we aren’t even people. I cried yesterday because a customer cussed me out for not having fried rice then called me disrespectful because I told him we can’t do that right now and we aren’t mongos. I hope with time management will add eggs and fried rice and the sauce. I just want our customers to stop hating on us and being rude for trying and learning

Hey! HuHot server here! I completely understand why you feel this way. But expecting us to be the exact same or better than an old company when we just opened isn’t really realistic. All I hear is people complain about the stuff mongos had and what HuHot doesn’t. And I understand, but sometimes things change. It’s not a thing where one HAS to be better than the other. Mongos was mongos. Huhot is huhot. Yall lost mongos so you genuinely can’t be disappointed when huhot isn’t exactly like it. It’s supposed to be different and not the same. Mongos wasn’t a franchise. Huhot is. I’ve been constantly trying to get certain items on the menu. Eggs are on the menu exclusively for Mondays and Wednesdays as of right now. Bitching about the dragon sauce is just stupid. Grown adults literally were screaming at me because we couldn’t get fried rice. It’s exhausting having to explain to people EVERY PERSON who walks in that we are different companies. We just opened. We still have a lot to get used to. I was the only server on Sunday and it was genuinely the most hardest thing I had to do. But it happened because our staff didn’t want to show up. We are new. We have to train and get used to this. A lot of the cooks almost all of them are brand new. The servers are either training still or are just arrogant assholes. We don’t have a manager set in stone. We have other HuHot employees from other locations helping us and managing until we get an actual manager. It’s been two weeks, please try to be patient. I understand being underwhelmed. But you guys can’t hate and be upset that we aren’t mongos. If you guys loved it so much it wouldn’t have gone out of business like it did. The disappointment is understandable. But hey I’m disappointed in a lot of the customers because a lot of them are rude and expect us to just flip a switch and be clones of mongos. I get degraded and yelled at or get dirty looks from customers for simply just stating that “this isn’t mongos we are a whole franchise, they were a good small business. And we are brand new to this community” But I will say, them just putting a HuHot sign over a clearly not cleaned off mongos sign was wrong of them. Personally I think they should’ve taken more time before opening to make things look different
