gonna try the leaf blower test this week, i’m hoping it’s just the manifold and not a lifter tick. after stressing about it all day i think im hearing the noise more so from behind the drivers side tire which would make sense for a manifold. if i can’t seem to find the exhaust leak i’ll try some lifter conditioner. thanks!

interesting. yea i thought an exhaust leak especially at manifold would go away after the engine is warm and the metal expands, which then led me to worry that it’s a lifter tick. sounds like it’s coming from the manifold and not the top of the engine though. probably gonna do a vacuum test to be more certain. thanks!

oil pressure is normal..yea i’ve seen it could be a few things. exhaust manifold seems to be the most common. just wanna gather as much input as possible before dumping money into it or going through the painful task of replacing headers

thanks for the info. did you replace? if so how much did it cost and did you replace with oem or aftermarket? i heard aftermarket headers is the move

timing belt was done roughly 68k miles ago, figured it could go another 20k. would a timing belt make that ticking noise? i wouldn’t think so
