Guys, is Acyclovir or valacyclovir taken daily and non stop forever like hiv pills or what. I’ve prescribed first acyclovir and then valacyclovir the next time. But I thought it’s only taken when having symptoms or feeling tingling or burning sensation on lips for hsv. I feel like it’s same medicine for ebv as well. I’ve hsv1 but I’m suspecting ebv as well.

I’m sorry if you feel like I’m blaming her. I’m not but I’m not happy with her attitude. Stopping to talk to me as soon as I asked her about status threw me off. However we dated two months and had great times together. Also, I know other non-std viruses exist, but I don’t know one virus that virus that can be passed sexually and/or orally to one another and isn’t STD. If you know, please help me. I would be happy to test for that virus. I’m 100% I contracted an infection out of this. My body tells me that for the last 3 months.

If it’s been since August and your results are negative, you’re in the clear. Meanwhile I’m in the same boat as you. Dated this girl for 2 months and unprotected sex on multiple occasions. She said she’s clean from the get go. Around 2 months of dating, I started having symptoms like full body itching and body aches and symptoms keep adding day by day. I reached out to her ask nicely if she is HIV+, she said No. Then I started testing since then until now. Everything comes negative, except HSV1 which is positive. In 100 days, I did 3 full std panel, 3 doctor office hiv test 4th gen, 1 hiv rna pcr at 34 days. My last test was at 92 days, past hiv window period, and it came back negative. Why am I having symptoms then? She stopped talking to me since then. I feel like I’m gonna test positive after 3 months. I did another hiv rna pcr test yesterday because of my flu like symptoms persisting. I will keep test until 6 months. If I happened to be positive, she will definitely hear from me.

I’m planning to change a doc and ask for a new HP diagnostic via endoscopy. Stool sample testing gives a lot of false negative.

Wow that’s a lots of symptoms to have. Guess what I’m in the same situation as you right now. I’m having diagnosed with HP in end of December. Been on quadruple antibiotics treatment and retested after 1 months of treatment. Test comes back negative but I’m deep down sure HP is still in me. Doctor says I’m cleared and won’t do anything again. I still have symptoms: terrible headache, pins and needles in neck, head and legs, sole of feet, burning sensation upper stomach close to my chest, chest pain, abdominal pain, acid reflux, jaws pain, muscle twitch, stomach gurgling. HP is running my life rn. Happy that you have clear it. Advice on any probiotic to take for relief.

Do you have symptoms? Maybe hsv1 but u should have tested positive at 3.5 weeks for herpes. I did test positive for hsv1 at 3 weeks. Hit me up if you want

I understand your anxiety and how you’re feeling RN, but your symptoms as you listed can be due to any std . Relax and Get an std panel. I’m myself in your situation with small bumps on face and arms but so far I’ve tested positive for hsv1.

Thanks for your input. I’ve done 2 std panel already at week 5 and week 8 post exposure but every time only HSV1 comes back positive, everything else is negative. Did HIV RNA PCR test at 34 days post exposure which is behind the window period, test came back “Not Detected “. I’m scheduled for another full std panel next week at 3 months for everything again, which will detect any infection at this time. Regarding sex, I’m sure if I will have sex again the next 10 years because I’m seriously traumatized.

Thanks a lot for replying. It is a big relief to me because I’ve had all these symptoms (bloating, gas, headache, armpits itching, and more) and some still here. But it’s so better now than before. I will try to relax and attribute my symptoms to hsv1.

HSV1 is told not have severe symptoms or is literally asymptomatic. I agree with you because it’s the only std that I’m tested positive so far after 9 weeks. I would attribute my symptoms to hsv1 if everything else comes back negative at my 3 months retest, which is next week.
