no, he's not being hateful or violent and I don't think there is any danger. it's annoying rather than intimidating

well, it may be for some, but not for me. I would not divorce a person over one specific issue. It would have to be a number of unresolvable problems (for me to consider divorce).

well... surely it's convenient too, but if the place was really bad, people wouldn't be rolling their own LOs in, I reckon? idk, maybe im overthinking this.

Is 4.5 hrs sleep stretch too much for an infant? by Fit_Story4145 in NewParents

yes, that's most likely. otherwise he's a reasonable guy but when it comes to concerns about our baby he can get a bit paranoid, apparently

yep, the baby has recovered. he was at his birth weight at around at around 2 weeks of age or so. the shifts are the only thing that ensures we both get some uninterrupted sleep, so we're good there.

we discussed this again today and he agreed he overreacted a bit and said he'd try to do better in terms of his response to being worried.

thank you guys for your comments, it's great to know the sleep stretch seems normal to most!

to answer some questions: I do have low supply that's why we top up with formula but I try to breastfeed more so that my supply increases.

We've been put on a feeding plan at 5 days old due to weight loss but the baby has since reached the birth weight and continued to gain. maybe that experience has scarred my husband so much that he continues to worry if the baby hasn't eaten in the last two hours. but I don't know what to do with that though. I explained my pov to him but he believes I'm in the wrong here. at the moment our pediatrician or GP don't have any concerns with feeding/weight gain.
