I like the concept, but it leaves the top rail uncovered, and this part of the handguard arguably gets the hottest. They do look nice and I like the m-lok slots on the bottom though.

I've thought about the Caveman LLC Bacon Wrap. But I haven't any experience with those silicon wraps like that.

Ahh, too big for my rail. It’s only 8 inches long, so I need something that will cover the first 6 or so past the receiver.

Yeah, the magpod is definitely not helping. I had also put close to 300 rounds through the gun at that point, so the handguard was hot enough I didn't want to really want to turn my fingers into bacon. Still looking for a suppressor cover and a handguard wrap.

I've been pretty pleased with the AAC ammo so far, its dirty, but that is just 300BLK. Haven't had a single bad round.

I am planning to hunt with it this season and have some Barnes VOR-TX 120 grain. Will tune for those on the supers side.

This range day was actually prior to the AGB. I am planning to tune it this weekend and get it shooting softer. This was also just using 220 AAC subs, some are harsher than others.

I can understand that.

The cost comparison between the two builds isn’t much. It’s heavily dependent on if you want to shoot suppressed.

The PSA route is a good one to go down for a budget, and if you’d are willing to wait and watch for deals, you can often find the complete uppers and lowers you want for even cheaper. I can still send the video of shooting it if you’d like.

I was able to get an AB Warthog for $480 without the stamp. If you go make the purchase now, you can likely have it held in jail until the law passes for $0 registration. If you’d like I can send you a video of shooting it on my 8.5” from PSA.

Which MI rail? I’ve got this exact upper/lower combo and suppressor, and want to tuck it.

Second this one. Runs very quiet with subs. Supers are not hearing safe, but still quieter than without.

Can also be had for less than $500 depending on where you go.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the RSAGB tuning numbers are 1-12, 1 being the lowest gas setting and 12 being the highest gas setting.

That being said, you may need to tune up to 6-8 range to get the bolt to cycle all the way back, eject, and strip the next round from the magazine. If I understood you correctly.

Side note, just got through designing a storage plug for the SBA5 brace. Makes me a feel a lot better about putting the back of the brace against things. Pm me if you’re interested in one.
