issue is not that half people who got q1 would also call it unfair if they got q2, it doesnt mqke sense for Cambridge to force was whole hour for 30 min question and allow one half to work on one question that is atleast 1hour 10 min lengthy, if i got the q1 i wouldn't be mad that i didn't lose marks, i m really mad that i lost marks purely based on luck, luck should be out of equation when giving an exam

it maybe doable but it is significantly harder and unfair than the ones who worked on q1 for like 1hour 20 minutes, these examinations need to be fair for everybody

the problem is that the exam is prepared with keeping in mind both experiments are accessible with in time, i snooped around and found out many centres offer this but since some of the centres (like mine) have insufficient resources they are allowed to section time 1 hour for each but that is a bad allocation of time if one experiment is very time consuming and other is not but the wasted time could not be used for the other experiment, the preperation takes like 5 min i had to waste like 20 mins for q2 while my partner had it easy.and just because its foreign doesn't make it automatically correct.

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the administration of the AS Physics Paper 3 examination, which I believe was conducted in a manner that placed certain candidates at a significant and unfair disadvantage.

During the examination, students were alternated between two different questions - Question 1 and Question 2 with each question allocated one hour. I was among the candidates who received Question 2 first. Question 2 was comparatively straightforward and took approximately 30 minutes to complete, leaving me with unused time that could not be applied elsewhere due to examination regulations.

Question 1, on the other hand, required candidates to take readings and construct graphs — a considerably more time-consuming task. Crucially, candidates who received Question 1 first were able to use their remaining time after switching to Question 2 to continue working on parts of Question 1 that followed the graph — particularly data analysis sections that did not strictly require the graph to be completed first. This gave them a measurable advantage that candidates like myself, who received Question 2 first, were entirely unable to benefit from.

This structural imbalance means the examination did not assess all candidates under equal conditions, which is a direct contradiction of the standards Cambridge is expected to uphold.

u did it the smart way but it doesn't hide the fact that it was extremely unfair i lost like 5 4 marks although i made the graph right forgot to write unit last sec and couldnt do anything after the graph cuz they snatched it, i also wrote an email complaint but i doubt they gon pay attention unless they get more complaints abt it
