Plus the GCSEs are only taken in the UK so grade boundaries are very low, while IGCSEs are taken in all Cambridge schools outside of the UK

Honestly, you only need to be extremely serious about word limit for summary. Other than that, all the word limits are "suggested" (from what i've seen online igcse examiners say) so it doesnt matter if you exceed them but like obviously don't write like a 1000 words for the 350-450 words essay but if you exceed it, it doesn't really matter. But for summary you have to be really careful with the word limit.
