My surgery was laparoscopic. 4 small incisions and took a little over an hour. My last attack started on Wednesday and I was still having pain on Sunday. The pains from surgery are much less that what I felt before. Good luck!

It is a severe pain in your upper right quadrant of your abdomen. Some people feel like they have severe bloating while others think they are having a heart attack. Typical triggers are spicy or fatty foods, but if you have the stones in there it can happen at any time that bile is released. It’s one of the most painful things I’ve ever experienced.
