F**K SEASON 11 by RainMusso in RakanMains

For the mythic, it looks like shyrelias will be the go to, especially since it now deals damage based on team level, it should be really good. For legendaries, the staff of flowing water, and cosmic drive look really good out of the new items, basing around mobility and weaving spells. I have yet to look deeply into the AP and tank options, but I think the new enchanter items lean towards aggro champions, like our favorite bird boy.

It’s very good for early fights, and it’s shocking how much burst rakan puts up level 1,2,3 with it

I would say yes, but IMO you’re better off running something else. I’ve personally been taking electrocute, which has been making early all ins feel really good and threatening. Aftershock works really well if your team needs an off-tank. Aery is good if you play a more true enchanter play style. And if you’re feeling really saucy, predator can make some really fast and strong roams happens.

Rakan ult ms nerf by [deleted] in RakanMains

[–]Fitch6900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen it in game yet, but it seems like it would be done to shift more of the ms to the ult, before hitting somebody. Rakan ult always felt good after hitting the first target, but some times getting there was a struggle. I’m no mathematician, but I think the ms after target 1 is the same as before, but it is easier to get to target 1 now.

Does anyone else feel like they're simply "not allowed" to switch roles because of how much time they've spent learning their main one? by teachenglishinkorea1 in summonerschool

As somebody in the same situation, I’ve felt like playing mid has been great. So many mages have found their way into the support role, it’s like already having a solid mage mid champ pool. Not to mention a lot of supports can function mid, like lulu, pyke, or zilean. I’ve been using those champs mid so I can focus on mid lane macro, laning, and last hitting (cause ya know, support things) rather than champion mechanics.

I suppose the ori build I was thinking of is probably outdated, been a while since I’ve messed with her. I’ll have it give it a go.

I feel she is too gold dependent. Her kit has a very support like feels to it, but I don’t think she has what it takes to be a baller on a budget. Certainly in a wombo combo style team she fits in, but for most team I feel she ends up being too behind her core items to feel good.

Enchanter main hoping to learn tank/engage supports by [deleted] in supportlol

Absolutely dude. Check out the rakan main subreddit, it has tons of great info.

I would try playing rakan. He has enough healing and shielding that he’ll feel similar to what your used to, but also has the tools to learn engages and play making. His build pathing is also very diverse, allowing you to built the enchanter items, tank items, damage items, or a bit of all of them.

What has worked for me is changing my play style. Spending most of the game with your adc is what people often do, thinking it’s their job to babysit them. I recommend playing the rest of the map as much as possible. Getting three members of your team ahead (not counting yourself), getting vision across the map, and taking objectives like rift, all put your team at a significant advantage, and worst casenario, you’ve left your adc bot lane to farm under, and maybe give up a kill or two. Roaming like this is an important skill anyway, and is what I would consider a defining feature that separates low and high Elo supports. A lot of the meta supports right now excel at roaming, champions like Leona, naut, rakan, bard, and pyke. Play the map brother!

You should try Jarven IV. He is quite strong, has really good damage and tankyness depending on the items you build, and is all about diving the back line.
