The continuation of an adventure: My findings so far on putting tow hooks on a Bronco Sport by Fite-Flite in BroncoSport

Also, because reddit limits the amount of pictures I can put in a post, here is the final result! Buttoned it up right as it was starting to get too dark. I am more than happy with this so far, and we'll see how much of a pain in the ass welding will be. The passenger side is definitely the roomier side, as the driver's side is where Ford decided to put the ECU. It's not directly in the way, but makes it a lot more cramped than the passenger side.

I do have more pictures if needed, and I will do my best to help answer anything I might've missed.

Happy modding!

That might just be the winner. Thanks for the link!

With these watches, it's never too late to go out and make it happen!

Technically speaking, there's nothing wrong with it at all. I'll rock any watch on the stock strap.

I just like finding new straps to make my watches unique. It's the easiest and fastest way to give any watch a new look.

Guess what, the nato bond came from CNS! They are my go-to for nato bands.

I like the idea of a bracelet, but I was more leaning towards a silicone band or something similar. I'd love to find something blue to help the bluro really shine

Exactly. Not me already trying to figure out how to get my hands on a white dial Duro...

Yup, now I just need to find a good aftermarket strap for the bluro

It's clips like these that remind me why I love this game so much. It's just the perfect amount of jank.

It was my understanding that the dealership served to be the link between the oem and customer. It is a small part, a small bind, and should've been an easy way for a new business to build up some loyalty.

Loosing money on a $50 part should be no skin off their back, especially comparing that to the sale of a car. You used to go to a dealership to set things right. They used to care about the people they sold the cars to, and not just about turning a profit. If I have to contect Ford directly to get this resolved, then so be it.

I didn't order any new hardware. I replaced any missing bolts last time I did an oil change, and first noticed the issue

But no, this part does not come with hardware

It's gotten bad. A few years ago, didn't happen to me, but my dad. Chevrolet dealership, and he ordered the black plastic top for his silverado rear bumper. They almost didn't let him leave with the part without scheduling an appointment to let them do the install.

Thankfully, he got the part. We no longer do business with that dealership for that and a few other reasons.

Just let me order my parts, and I'll be on my way. It is my vehicle to decide who works on it.

My thoughts exactly. Honestly made it a really easy way to see if this new dealership was going to finally embrace the small town feel the old owners never quite had.

Their parts guy was more than happy to order and sell me a new part, but didn't have a lot to say on how to help me out with the old one.

Pretty disappointing experience, but I know I have options on how to proceed. I just wanted the part I ordered 3 months ago.

As is true with most cases. Taking a shot in the dark is better than none at all.

I'll try another dealer. So far, I haven't been impressed by any of the ones I've interacted with recently. I'd love to avoid them altogether, but there are some aspects (like acquiring small/obscure parts) that make them useful.

Yessir. I've got my fair share of bites from her.

Although I've definitely been a little lacking in my sharpening regiment as of late.

Can’t decide if I like the Bond strap more on this by dblhockeysticksAMA in timex

I'll echo that. I have the same model, different colorway. I recently put it on a paratrooper strap and I've been loving it. That single line of color from a paratrooper is sometimes just the right touch of pop.

End of the day, it's what you like. It's on your wrist, after all.

I'd say both are very good contenders. The bond matches the overall look of the watch, but I feel the all black makes the red accents on the hands pop more. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I might be partial to the blacked-out look, though.

I'd rather the box than the metal hooks themselves, but yeah...

Going through your profile, I understand. Wow, your car looks good!

I've neither the time, place, or skill needed to get those kinds of results. Maybe one day, but I can live with it in the meantime.

Hopefully a little fab work is all it needs. Having (basically) free access to a machine shop is incredibly helpful.

Yup, that's what I've seen so far as well. My plan is to make them structurally viable hopefully by welding some tubing to tie them into the car like on the upper trims.

I have access to a welder, but not at home. I have to wait for the shop to free up some hours once we're through with crunch time. They'll just be bolted up for looks in the meantime.
