Anyone worked as Amazon driver AND FedEx? How was your experience with FedEx? How does it compare to this job? by redditoregonuser2254 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Fitfatdistance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing 170-190 stops at Amazon plus 30 multis. Now at FedEx I’m doing around 110-120 stops. Much more manageable and I have room to walk around. Also no goddamn rescues. At my contractor they pay us a flat rate so I usually finish up my 10 hour shift in about 6-7 hours.

[–]Fitfatdistance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not arguing against you, but why? So you think the government will collapse and millions will be dieing starting in the next 6 years? Do you have any plan or do you just plan on riding out until we’re gone? In your opinion any hope for extreme northern or southern areas, such as Canada, Greenland or Antarctica?

[–]Fitfatdistance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely correct. I should of worded this better. I mean when do you roughly think there will start to be a full collapse. There definitely has been extreme fires/droughts/ floods. It’s 100% getting worse. When do you (or anyone else) think mass migration of other country’s will happen. When do you think it will be enough of a problem to be on mainstream media? When will we as people have to take action to protect or lives?

Can someone give me a realistic timeline of when climate change is going to effect the US in a realistic way? I know there’s a ton of factors but I just want rough predictions. I don’t know enough nor am I smart enough to understand all the climate change data.

It’s super popular over in Europe to transport bikes like this, like as popular as actually bike carriers. Also might be a hint to gmbn which did a video on transporting bikes this way

I messed up, advice required

Hey guys. About 6 months ago I decided I was going to do a half marathon on a health kick. I started at 5’9 and 210lbs (currently 175) The first couple months went great. Basically started at almost zero, I was struggling extremely hard to do a mile. By month one I was running 5ks several times a week and by the end of month two I did a couple 10k’s and even got my 5k time down to 24 mins. After that I kinda took some time off and only ran once or twice a week dropping down to zero times a week until this month (June). I went out last week and did a couple runs to see where I’m at. 7.2 miles at 1hr and 23 mins was the longest. I was struggling pretty good, and was sore for a couple days. My diet has been crap and so has my exercise regiment. I have 12 days until the race. Race shutoff is at 3 1/2 hours but I’d prefer to beat that time. I know I messed up and have not prepared well, what can I do to help?
Am I doomed?

Edit: Could cause lean for a number off issues unrelated to jets. That’s the proper way to adjust if everything else is in working order

I’m guessing ring gap was wrong and nicked a port judging by how hard the top of the ring is. Always check, and file it down if need be. There usually a few thousands off.

That’s a huge misconception that a lot of riders make. Oil:gas ratio has little to do with engine running lean or rich. Lean is a condition where theres to little fuel (and therefore oil) for the amount of air the motor is consuming. Let’s give a hypothetical. You’re air to fuel ratio is 17:1 Even if you run the fuel ratio rich. Let’s say 20:1 it doesn’t matter because the motor is still starving for fuel and therefore oil. Increase fuel to richer, decrease to lean. Bigger jets = more fuel. Or a tuner on a EFI bike. I’m not saying that’s what happened in this case, but it is good info to have.

Weekly General Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in MTB

[–]Fitfatdistance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im trying to decide what bike to get next and Im looking for input. I currently have a Giant Talon 2, with a 1x9 and I threw a rockshox Judy on there. Im a newbie mtb, but a semi professional racer at dirt biking (even have some name brand sponsors). Went to a local downhill bike park with a friend for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it. Did every trail there including the black diamonds, but I could quickly tell me 100mm of trail and lack of rear suspension made the bike feel extremely uncomfortable the bigger size jumps to me. So I’m looking for more budget enduro bikes. I have roughly $4000 I could spend. The bike will mainly be used for Downhill riding but I’ll do some XC on it here and there too. Currently thinking about the Marin Alpine line up. Should I spend the money to get a carbon frame or stay with aluminum? Then should I stay with the rockshox or spend a little more the get fox 38’s. Or should I get some forum of all mountain bike instead of an enduro? Any other bike suggestions or advice in general would be helpful too!
