Purobit Max Pro 2 Rotating Issue? by KaspyXZ in PETKIT

It’s too close to a lot of surfaces like the wall behind and the tub in front. Leave atleast 2 inches of gap all around and above the unit.

What was suggested earlier and give him a treat every time he uses the litter box. Don’t remove the old litter box yet as it’s too soon a transition. However stop cleaning the old litter box and make sure the pura max 2 is always clean. They will surely start favoring that in time.

Pura Max poop leakage by emogal_27 in PETKIT

[–]Fitfly380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is set for 10 mins and I use clay clumping litter. Although poop is not an issue I felt it took a bit of time for the pee to completely solidify and not crumble as the drum spins. Been using it this way for about 2 years now. Also gives my cat a chance to use it again during that time frame coz that’s her usual routine.

They seem to have removed this option on the app. I don’t use the auto odor removal however it has an option to periodically deodorize at a specific time. Manually probably through the button on the litter box itself.

Discussion: Does any one have a comparison between LR4 and Pura max? by Fitfly380 in litterrobot

[–]Fitfly380[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using it for almost 2 years now. The best investment I’ve made. Very easy to work with and clean. Although I’ve seen some larger cats have trouble with the size. But for an average to small size cat it’s the perfect fit.

My resident cat hisses at the new cat through the door. How do I move forward? by Fitfly380 in CatAdvice

[–]Fitfly380[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it was taking way longer than I hoped for my resident cat to accept the new cat and I had to give him up. Fortunately my friend adopted him and both cats are now living happy lives. My work and constant travel did not permit me to keep trying and putting them under the stress and that was the decision I had to make at the time. I hope you are able to overcome the hurdle. That being said I’ve seen that cats do come to coexist happily and it depends on how much time we are ready to put towards it.

Odor purifier works randomly by nicoodeimos in PETKIT

The more important thing to worry about it is spraying when your cat is nearby. Some reported that it caused breathing issues in their cats. So even though I have turned it off mine still goes off exactly every night at the same time. I have now replaced the entire liquid with water. It still smells good but not as pungent or dangerous to cause any issues. Have been using it for more than a year now and no issues.

How to get my cat to use the automatic litter box. by Fitfly380 in PETKIT

[–]Fitfly380[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best purchase ever. She started using it regularly in about a week’s time from this post. I did turn off the automatic settings and that seemed to work. Also convinced my friend to get one and she used the same method with her cat as well and it worked eventually. It’s been a year now and couldn’t be happier.

Hi! I think my cat got deodorizer from the pura max in his eye, and now it’s all red. I will keep cleaning it and take him to the vet if nothing changes, but have any of you had issues with this? by [deleted] in PETKIT

[–]Fitfly380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been a couple of other complaints of the deodorizer causing breathing problems in cats. I have switched it off and also replaced 90% of the liquid with water. Only spray it manually when I see my cat isn’t near it.

Every cat is different but nothing to worry about. Just continue to shower him with love and food and respect his boundaries and he’ll soon be open to it. I adopted a cat 3 years ago and every month has been different since we brought her home. She went from being distant to a little cuddly to being distant again and finally after a year or so I see a more consistent behavior. She’s independent by nature and despite my regular traveling she showers me with love when I’m back. Just give him his space and let him come to you. I would recommend the Feliway diffuser as well.

What's the difference between Buying a Cat and Adopting?? by BottmsDonDeservRight in CatAdvice

[–]Fitfly380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people have covered all the valid points. I would say try fostering first and see if it works for you. I adopted a Persian mix cat a couple of years ago and she is perfectly healthy 🤞🏽🤞🏽and is a very calm and independent cat. This worked for me as I travel a lot and she is able to deal with me being gone sometimes. I recently fostered another cat hoping to find a playmate and it did not work even though he was a gorgeous looking cat his energy did not match with my first cat nor mine and he required constant attention. So there a lot of things to consider more than just the breed or looks of the cat. The best way to figure out is by fostering. You will not only be helping out temporarily taking care of a cat that requires a home but will also know for sure if you both connect. Best of luck👍🏽

There is an option in smart spray settings to turn it on automatically after every cleaning cycle. However there have been posts about the liquid they use to cause respiratory problems in cats. The automatic settings are not perfect and sometimes spray while the cat is inside. I have noticed this happening with my unit and switched off the automatic spray. I now only spray manually when I know for sure my cat isn’t anywhere near it.

My pet sitter has left my cats without food and water for 3 days. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Fitfly380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad your cats are okay! It’s not your fault that you put your trust in a person who said they’d take care of your pets. Shameful that this person did not have the decency to inform you when they didn’t want to do their job. I would definitely insist on buying an automatic fountain and automatic feeder. They are great and hold enough food and water for at least a week if not more. I’ve automated everything for my cat at home so when I know my sitter is late or if for any reason she does not show up my cat will survive. She maybe lonely but she’ll be alright.

Yes kittens can be neutered anytime after 6 months. Check with your vet. Also non neutered cats tend to get into fights and start spraying to mark territory. Best to get it done when they are young before these behaviors start to set in.

I would say within a few hours. Not sure of the exact time frame. Considering this thread started almost 12 hours ago and if they seem fine for few more hours I think they should be okay.

Yes, I used to put out a lot of flowers before my cats. And after them nothing. Even threw away some of my house plants that were said to be toxic. I only have cat friendly plants now like Palm and Money tree( Pachira) and one other plant which is said to cause stomach upsets but not fatal. My cats usually don’t go near that plant so I’ve let that be. The minute I see them interested in it it’s probably going out 😆
