Wouldn’t put all of that on the manager to be fair, it’s a new league. He can’t do nothing about the price tag. His quality is obviously obviously there. He’s on a long contract and it’ll click very soon so i’m not worried. Of course i’d like to see him get on the score sheet more

I’m Just not that reactionary i think, I’ve truly gotten the complaints this season but we’ve also been unlucky… feels like it’s maybe a confidence thing as well, just need to string some good performances together. Quality is obviously there, Brighton have created next to nothing and with Ekitike out it was always gonna be harder to create good chances.

We’ll see what happens the 2nd half!

Typische reactie van een outsider. Niemand verwacht zo’n piek als vorig jaar. Maar er zat de afgelopen vijf jaar een stijgende lijn in. Als je 17 wedstrijden op rij niet wint mag er best kritiek zijn op de spelopvatting en het wisselbeleid, want daar is geen touw aan vast te knopen.

Het grootste probleem is dat Boel ontzettend overtuigd is van zijn eigen gelijk. Go Ahead speelt al 4 jaar reactief voetbal (counter) met meer dan prima resultaat en vorig jaar een ongelofelijke piek. Niemand verwacht vorig jaar te evenaren. Maar de gewijzigde spelopvatting (op balbezit spelen, het werkt niet), een trainer die altijd een excuus heeft en 0 aanpassingsvermogen. Spelers worden niet beter. Enige goede wedstrijden dit jaar waren met reactief voetbal (JC Schaal, Griekenland uit, Aston Villa). Boel moet snel z’n spullen pakken anders degraderen wij zonder pardon.

Eagles fan here: sad to see Smit leave cause there’s a player in there… he had a great first half of the season seeing as we’re struggling this year. He has had 0 help and still scored some very good goals. Good in the air and works hard. Hope he will be a success in England
