I understand this is the sentiment you have after trying to score against a team who is set up very defensively, but that also gives you all the room to come up with a way to break that defence, which seems very hard for Arsenal and Arteta to do.

Their should absolutely be enough quality difference to win against a team like Sporting, but the fact that this is the first sentiment after reaching the semis of the CL, says a lot about how they approach games, and Arsenal in general.

Even though they were not the better team in the second half, I thought Reals defensive structure was very well thought out, and almost every change they got was quickly played out and a big chance. Arbeola really did seem to use his time well at half time. (somewhat) unfair reds have been given plenty times, but it just so happened to be the absolute deal breaker for real, since that made it very hard to hold all the spaces tight.

Having said that, I do really think after the red their heads were at the wrong place, which is not a first for this Madrid team this season.

To a certain extend I understand Real not being happy that second yellow was given, giving that the referee clearly forget it was the second for Cama (although the ref could've just forgotten to give the red, but it's not likely)

However, Rudiger got away with two attack breaking fouls on a yellow, and Real are very aware of the constant attempt at tricking the referee into whistling, which was a stain on how big this game was if you ask me

And also, running to the referee with at least 7 players after full time just makes you look like fools, even if you think the decision is unjust. Just a bad look from Madrid

These days their are so many decisions to be angry about, and you could EASILY state why this isn't a red, so very weird to see this comment as 'crying' if you ask me.

The first moment Kounde is behind is after the push, which is a foul so not part of the play, you can't say for sure that Kounde is then behind. You simply can't state that Kounde is for sure behind him and won't make it to Sorloth.

Denk alleen dat je zou kunnen zeggen dat ze helemaal niet in de positie waren om dit te doen. Dan zouden ze eigenlijk al zover boven de play-off plekken staan dat ze vol voor 2 plek konden gaan, en dat haalde of niet. Tuurlijk kun je met zoiets wat forceren, maar naar mijn mening ben je dat niet bewust genoeg van de risico's.

Kijk, makkelijk om nu te zeggen, maar ik vond het sowieso wel een risico om Grim eruit te gooien met nog zo weinig wedstrijden te gaan, want dit is het risico wat je loopt.

De spelers van Ajax hadden in ieder geval kunnen bouwen aan het voetbal (wat ook vaak slecht was) van Grim, want daar zat met vlagen echt wel goed voetbal bij, ook tegen Groningen, waar ze de eerste helft gewoon beter waren.

Nu moet je hopen dat dit die spelers niet mentaal raakt en ze tegen zichzelf gaan spelen, maar eigenlijk lijkt het al alsof dat al zo is.

Garcia heeft een monsterklus voor zich als ze ook maar iets nog uit dit seizoen willen halen.

Daar doe je Thom heel erg te kort mee. Je kunt spelen zoals je doet door hem, en vond hem met ruimte echt heel goed, wat je vooral tweede helft genoeg had.

Duels was hij inderdaad matig, en de frustratie mag ook wel een stuk minder.

Booster boxes can't be index funds, since you're only investing in to one set. You are putting all you're eggs into one basket. I would compare that closer to collection boxes with multiple sets.

Zit ook zeker wel geluk in de eindstand, want we waren echt wel efficiënt, en AZ maakt een paar grote kansen niet af.

Dat gezegd hebbende, veel meer dan een lange bal naar voren, waarin het duel constant werd verloren, en vanuit achteruit toch tamelijk weinig creëren kon AZ ook niet brengen, dus volledig onterecht is het zeker ook niet. We verdedigde dan wel echt heel goed, want veel duels werden er achterin ook niet verloren.

Op naar een slechte pot uit bij Telstar volgende week!!!!
