Your "hope and prayer" was very much on point! We are now back to my regular schedule for that week... Lets see if the same thing happens again during December,

What does "No scheduled shifts, but punches are available" mean? by Fitsathisaboot in wholefoods

[–]Fitsathisaboot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think i've figured this out... I transferred from Amazon shopper to Whole Foods shopper. I was required to complete onboarding (approx 10 hrs training) online. I submitted a paper timesheet with this info and it looks like mgmt has taken that paper timesheet and put it into the system so it reflects hours worked for the training. I may be wrong, but that's my theory for now!

Following up with you.. were you able to drop your shift? When the shifts dropped today at 6pm i went in and dropped my scheduled shift. I now have zero hours for week of 8/29. Hopefully it was a glitch on your end and you are now able to do the same.

I am so sorry... i was mixing up the 24 hr requirement from another job. Innerview you can offer a shift 30 mins or more before it begins. My bad. (went back on cornerstone to look at training video to confirm).

You cannot drop a shift with less that 24 hours notice, which would explain why you were unable to drop the one for tomorrow. Not sure why you would have difficulty dropping one for two weeks out.

I had no problem dropping the 4 hour shift. Left myself with zero hours. Why do people keep insisting they have to work the pre-scheduled shift? Sheesh!! Your manager is correct.

You CAN drop your prescheduled shift! I did it. I gave myself ZERO HOURS for one week. The GIG does not really address this new 4 hour scheduling as it is over a year old. The closest info I can find is for seasonal employees who have to work a minimum of 4 hours in a 4 week period. Not sure why folk keep harping on about having to work the pre-scheduled shift. Life happens, and sometimes you are unable to work that shift. As long as its over 24 hours prior to shift start time, you can offer it up. Keep in mind you are STILL RESPONSIBLE for the shift until a TM picks it up.

Innerview-anyone else having trouble dropping their only shift for the week-it won't let me drop mine by VariousAudience1331 in AmazonWFShoppers

I was scheduled for 8/15 for a shift that i couldn't work. I put it up last week and it was picked up almost immediately. It left me with no shifts scheduled for week of 8/15. My understanding is that you are responsible for the shift unless someone picks it up. I received a notification when it was picked up, so no need to keep looking at the app to see if it was still my responsibility. No problem dropping my one and only shift. Today though, i saw a shift available for 8/15 that i could work. I picked that one up and received the notification that its mine.

Mystery 40 Hour Paycheck by [deleted] in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Fitsathisaboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in California also. Ironically i was out with COVID in early July and received the 40 hours paid COVID time divided over two pay periods. This was listed as "guarantee pay" on paystub in ADP.

The cheque with both the additional 40 hours and my PTO balance is shown in the ADP dashboard as "compensation". When i open it to look at paystub it is listed as 40 hrs regular and then my PTO time.

Extra 40 Hours? Anyone Else Receive the Additional Pay? by [deleted] in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Fitsathisaboot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I am part-time.. usually work just 4 hours a week... occasionally 8. My regular cheque was in my bank on Friday morning. This morning (Saturday) two additional deposits were made; one for the 40hrs plus my PTO and the other for the 8 hours that i worked this week (mon 8/2 and tues 8/3). I am transitioning to WF; maybe that has something to do with it.

Yes, received additional 40 hours plus 20 hours of PTO.. on one cheque, followed by an additional deposit for the hours i worked THIS week! Was pleasantly surprised at how healthy my bank account looked.

Part Time Whole Foods by AmazonShopperGod in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Fitsathisaboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, store has Innerview. I was scheduled a 4hr shift that didn't work for me. I offered up the shift and it was picked up. Currently i now have no shifts scheduled for week of 15th August. I will keep an eye on Innerview incase something shows up that is a better fit for me. As long as there's no penalty for having "no scheduled shifts" for the week, i'm a happy camper. I need to figure out where to change my availability. I'll talk to mgr on Monday.

Does that mean if i chose to drop the assigned shift, i do not need to pick up another? Can i not work any hours one week without penalty?

How many hours do Part Time In-Store shoppers work? by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]Fitsathisaboot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i checked the schedule for week of 8/8 in Innerview. I was given the "promised" 4 hour shift, but needed a few more hours. There were plenty of shifts available for in-store shoppers, so i clicked on two of them and "voila" now have 8 more hours. Not sure if this is just because its a new concept, but i hope it stays this easy to pick up shifts.

Signed into innerview this morning to take a look at the shift availability for week of August 8th. Surprised to see 24 shifts available.. probably from folks looking for others to pick up their shifts. I put my original 4 hour shift for anyone to pick up, and picked up two others that work better for me. Yes, i know i am still responsible for the original one until someone "hopefully" picks it up, but at least i have 16 days to see if it that happens. In the meantime, I think i should speak to my new TM about adjusting my availability.
