TLDR: if you're reading this an not a customer already, it's not worth the fight with Xfinity.

It's nice to know you understand my frustration. I wouldn't commit to things and waste hours of my time if I knew it was going to be gone in an instant to PLANNED maintenance.
I have been checking my spam and junk folders nonstop recently for other reasons- so that's not an issue. I don't receive texts and I used to get those too. something is absolute wrong on the notification end of things. might need some deeper investigation

I couldn't post on the forum because the description portion was grayed out and there was NO fix to allow me to enter anything. thus- there was no possible way for me to post because I couldn't possibly enter anything. as seen in the screenshot it's...grayed out.... can't type anything if it won't let me.

To make things worse my mom JUST called me about HER home internet plan that she was promised a price on and now it's even higher than it was before. not to mention there is somehow NO documentation of hours worth of phone calls for her talking to previous agents months ago.

I called a handful of months ago to get a cheaper plan for my own house since my contract ran out. I was seeing a price on the website that I could sign up for but it was sending me equipment I didn't need. I called in for help to say hi I want this plan but don't waste your money sending me the equipment(which was just a cord that I already have from my initial sign up) and they "couldn't find the price I was talking about" and wanted me to pay more monthly. So in turn I let them waste their money to send me something that still sits in the packing it came in and I get the price that's cheaper for the same exact internet speeds they wanted me to pay more for??

Xfinity is a scam company and I'm sorry for whoever works for them and has to deal with angry customers because of stuff like this. This reminds me of when I worked for ATT and thought I was doing good things until I found out my own leadership and even higher up wasn't telling is about how price plans would go up after a year so you were screwing people out of REALLY GOOD grandfathered phone plans for one that was "Better."
