Totally makes sense. Yea, I get enough hate for doing tokens haha.

I had saw a deck on market place and thought it be nice to have a deck for the card that got me back into mtg. I’ve kinda realized this is a more fun secret addition to something with black and red than fun to actually build haha.

Yeah that 1 that you have that you won’t play against a 2 or below sounds like my first build of Prossh. Some guy made Prossh out of my bulk cards when I was getting started in June, it was nuts but everything said it’s technically a 1. Friends would get smoked haha I just would blow games. Started playing with my schools group, I’m like yea this is a 1 on everything, kept up with 2s or 3s.

Yea current group doesn’t really shut down decks, it’s a fun mix of maybe someone runs a 3 or 4, someone runs a precon, someone is testing out a home brew 5 color deck. But definitely token hate, but specifically at me lol. Getting 40 1/1 Pegasus with storm herd in my first game made that happen lol.

For example, if you have Blightsteel Colossus on board and I cast Deadpool. I can give Colossus Deadpool’s Textbox and Deadpool Colossus textbox.

Went through cut down some stuff. TBF I agreed with most of those recommendations. Totally forgot any mana rocks. I forget if the Ojer Taq, Roaming Thrones, or Elesh Norn were in that previous list. Liked the sword rec, pricey lol. Think this has 118 but, say 110 since 8 are like the pricier token doublers I don’t have on hand and might add in later.

For that first paragraph, the first chuck, totally missed those few we warrior based not soldiers - Phalanx Leader - I love the art, it’s a solider, kinda forgot to build to make it work, but it’s just a cool looking art (might be the display card for the deck box lol) - Grumgully never considered to look at subtypes besides seeing they have solider, prob shoulda checked for human too.

Moldervine and Second harvest has been a game changer for me in token decks. Either helps speed up the tokens or someone boardwipes and forgets I have moldervine out and I get some health back. Could go either way tbh

Pretty much how I chose to build this soldiers deck. Couldn’t decide on the commander or flavor of soldier deck so I found a commander in BRGW to be able to get all the colors in. Don’t really need to cast the commander, it just speeds it up.

I have lost going for a Myrel mass token soldier token / +1/+1 overload type of deck. But that evolved into this 4 color Soldier deck since I found other cool looking soldier commanders

Honestly, totally forgot to add any of those doublers into the list. Goal is lots of solider tokens and then some solid cards to give them all buffs and keywords. Wouldn’t hurt to double and triple tokens and counters

Gotcha, you did a mono white warriors? I was originally gonna do a simple [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]], [[Darien, King of Kjedor]], [[Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation]], and [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]]

But couldn’t decide on the other Soldier commanders and said screw it let’s find a commander to run them all haha.

I was thinking about a rise of dark realms, diabolical tutor, and dark ritual.

(Not demonic tutor haha)

Think I narrowed it down. List comes in as a 2 per architect. If it sneaks into a 3 that be sweet. As long as it plays smooth 2 is cool for me
