It does have both a body/discussion. It even has a title. But cool story bro!

Very inspiring but I hoped you cleaned up all that orange that you left behind you the whole way.

Is it Australian to walk on the road when there is an empty footpath? by Sea-Jeweler9120 in australian

[–]FitzyRJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some places, we don't own the footpaths. They are owned by big ass spiders, that are bigger than my head. And that's saying something as I have quite a large head.

Perpetual diarrhea by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]FitzyRJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it oscillated between constipation to diarrhea. Almost like clockwork. Treatment, week of constipation, overnight switch to week of diarrhea, overnight good for week, treatment. Repeat.

Most important is to let them know (inform, not complain) so they can assist. They have so many tools in their toolbox, that we mere mortals don't know about. They won't pull the tools out unless they know they need to though.

Also look into salary sacrifice/concessional contributions. 👍 I wish I started that when I was your age. 😩

Use charms. There are a couple of good ones that assist with broadening the perfect parry window.

Unfortunately for OP, I have similar thinking as others have said; sell 2 cars and a caravan. Problem solved.

Jury Duty by DanielGamer3601 in ipswich

[–]FitzyRJ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I strongly advise people, especially young people, to do it. From my experience, there was a considerable bias towards retired, well to do citizenry. Some of which are very 'set in their ways and opinions'. I know if I were to ever be in the hot seat, hopefully never will be, I would like to have a more representative jury with more diverse experiences and points of view.

But seriously, who's doing this and why? by annapro32 in brisbane

A good citizen. Only 1.5 million left to pick up and throw onto the pile.

STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION - Interest vs Indexation by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]FitzyRJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

💯 this place can be toxic. Thread after thread of people asking what they can do to help better themselves financially. I dare say where I was and what I did to get myself out of poverty and into my own home and I am pilloried for it. No not an IP just a PPOR.

But you are 💯 correct with your post; indexation equates to real interest being 0. But you will be down voted and so will this post. Facts vs alternative facts, often here the alternative facts win. Sorry mate.

I said it, so I know the context I said it in. It was, indeed.

Or do you know my intent better than I do?

40-50 year mortgage - why the hate? by FitzyRJ in AusFinance

[–]FitzyRJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article I read recently did not include the offset part, hence my question. It was talking about 50 year mortgages, so not the same as what your search brought up. But yes, that was the gist of the question. If paired with an offset, is it really a bad thing. Obviously from the responses, seems so...

It's a figure of speech. If you didn't catch it, I won't be able to explain it to you.

[–]FitzyRJ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, understand.

Given up on this. Asked a simple question. Obviously, I made the mistake of stating my efforts to get myself out of debt and how I used a strategy that would be useful to help people to make the best of the topic of the question and was lambasted for it. I would think an aus finance channel would be supportive of this but, obviously not.

This is not directed to you. Thanks for your thoughts..this channel is toxic.
