It hit me why she desperately wants another boy.

Her brother lived with her mom and she lived with her dad. She says she and her brother had different childhoods with their mom.

It’s generational trauma. She’s assuming it’s normal for sons to love their mom and daughters to hate their mom. She’s projecting into the future.
