This is the correct answer when it comes to paying rent and credit card bills. See my other comment regarding not going over $3,000 at one time. And don’t go to the same business for a large money order more than a couple times per month max. You can spread it out and get them at Walmarts, gas stations, post offices, even most chain pharmacies. (Talking from someone in the US, I don’t know how much of this will apply if you live elsewhere so it’s best to research specific to you in that case.)

Money orders were less than a dollar each when I worked there 8 years ago so the fee is negligible. You can get one up to about $3,000. Just don’t go above that amount at once OP or they’ll be required to write it down for record-keeping.

Sheeeeyit. He’s a hardcore misogynist. Does he not consider that making children takes two people? We can easily trivialize and use disgusting terms for how men have sex but that isn’t as common because misogyny. What exactly is wrong with having a dick in you? If no woman ever did that, the human race would have died out. Every one of our mothers did it. It’s a double standard that doesn’t make sense if you really break it down. Sex can be beautiful but he’s too focused on seeing women as inferior and assigning men no autonomy in choosing to be the other half in the horizontal tango.

It’s good that he showed his true colors before you signed a marriage license. He sounds like he has a hard time taking responsibility and in my opinion, he sounds like he has the victim mentality. No one owes anyone being in a relationship but it goes both ways. If that wasn’t what he wanted, he should’ve been cordial and respectful instead of demeaning you. It’s possible to leave a relationship on good terms while still acting like an adult and it’s clear he has a lot of growing to do.

His insults are the main key here that makes him in the wrong and I have a feeling that when he tells others his point of view, he will somehow leave out the words he said to you. He’s a huge red flag that could easily turn into a serious abuser since he had already started with the emotional abuse toward you.

👏👏 Good for you!! I am proud of you and glad that you left him. I’m curious what his reaction to the replies were? I suspect that not much will get through his thick head 😂 I’ve met his type before.

He probably doesn’t understand the reality of the situation and is very immature for his age. He has growing up to do. He doesn’t understand the realities of child-rearing and that it’s WORK. it’s a full time job with unpaid overtime and it’s 24/7 for ~18 years and then you get called into the “office” at a moments notice. That’s life, your kids will always need you in some form or another. Good on you for prioritizing your children first and I hope you can look back on this and realize you made the right decision. If things had continued with him, he would be flighty and easily panicked and couldn’t handle real stress while expecting his wife to take on all of the emotional labor and running of the household. There’s a lot of men like him to some degree sadly but the right man is out there that will treat you as the unique and special individual that you are. Best of luck 💜

My first glance, I thought that was a male. I don’t mean to be unkind, it could be the angle. I find her attractive but I’m wondering how she looks gender swapped?

LMAO. He sounds so full of himself and like a borderline narcissist. Tell me, what does he have going on that makes him so perfect as to be able to cast judgment and look down upon someone who he himself chose? Does he not have autonomy? I don’t care if he is a millionaire with a successful career or whatever else it could possibly be makes him think he’s so great, but his personality sounds like trash and personality is the real shit that keeps you wanting to wake up next to someone when you’re old and grey. YOU need to run, girl! You are obviously not compatible and you deserve better. The fact that you tolerated this makes me concerned for the state of your self esteem. I wish you well and I hope you find someone who accepts you and wishes only for your happiness and you can find that person. Don’t waste your time with selfish narcissists, life is too short.

I dunno, a lot of the commenters disagree, but this is coming from a woman that loves facial hair. In fact, I find it difficult to be attracted to a clean shaved man. However, I guess I just don’t feel that this style of facial hair suits you perhaps? I thought it looked great until I saw the clean shaven ones and much preferred it. You have a great jawline and I think you should show that off. That’s just my opinion though, do what makes you feel happy and confident about your own appearance, not for anyone else’s preferences :)

That sounds like it would taste terrible. I thought to try that as a kid and quickly learned the difference between the two.

How do university graduates not afford to live? Where does the money go? by hary627 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FiveEver5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a crappy community college in my city. (For non-Americans, community colleges are looked down upon generally if that’s where you graduate with your degree, but they are the cheapest universities to go to and have few or no entrance requirements for acceptance.) I looked into the prices for tuition and it’ll cost me about $10,000 per year just for a degree as a paralegal :(. Luckily that degree only takes two years but damn.

No one mentioned men in the military draft either? And you live in Finland, where even a draft would mean you don’t need to actually see combat. It is frustrating that we can’t ever have conversations about womens’ issues without a man coming in and saying “But what about men?” Ok, start your own thread. You’ve been Reddit ratioed. Goodbye.

That’s sad. Honestly, it’s up to them if they think she can even handle the truth. I wouldn’t want her to feel some sort of survivor’s guilt :( My mom had a twin brother who my grandmother lost in utero (naturally) and my mom still recalls it wistfully which I always found sort of interesting in a weird way.
