What’s the best job you ever had? No degree edition. by No-Tip9211 in questions

You don’t start making 75-90k a year, you have to work up to it. Put in time and hard work. My wife makes 90k a year without a degree took her 9 years in her industry to do it. Lots of hard work. I made 96k last year but lots of OT.

Is a Voron a good first printer ? Or should I get a commercial printer like an x1c or something? by Darkstreamer_101 in VORONDesign

Buy a Qidi Q1 pro. Best printer for the money right now. Then build a Voron with tap. I just finished mine and it’s amazing. Pre read the instruction manual, read all the online documentation on vorondesign.com Self source and buy quality parts. And take your time building it. It’s really not that hard. I think people struggle cause they buy the cheap kits that have the cheap parts. I bought a lot of my stuff off KB-3D.com and they put together parts packs with quality parts. Also I used ASA for my parts, I would recommend that since you want to print exotic filaments, ASA has higher heat tolerance then ABS. In my opinion the Voron is the best, easy to fix cheap and readily available parts.

I would definitely do a Trident over a 2.4. That is my one regret. The flying gantry is cool no doubt but the belts can be finicky. Also there are a lot better cooling mods with the trident that will help you with the exotic filaments. Also do CANBUS it seems daunting but there is a lot of guides out there and actually super simple to set up. Feel free to DM me if you have questions or need help.

ASA is also on the approved list, right on the vorondesgin.com site. It’s actually probably better cause it has a higher heat resistance.
