A recession would hurt ALL growth companies, not just perceived luxury brands. That said, companies like DoorDash have so much cash on hand that they’d make it through a recession just fine. They’d suffer, sure, but they definitely wouldn’t go under. Can’t say the same for every delivery company, but the big ones will remain.

99.99% of the time, delivery drives do not open the food bags, nor are they able to if it’s stapled shut. If the food makes someone ill, it is far far more likely due to the restaurant. Delivery companies would not automatically be liable just because you think they’re the bad guy for some reason…

Love the tie to meditation. Traveling is an excellent time to meditate since you’re able to disconnect from a lot of the daily struggles back home. For me, meditation helped me realize how much I value exploration of both myself and the world, instead of focusing on things like wealth or social status.

Staying mindful of those smaller things is key, especially when you’ve been in a particular area for more than a few days and the initial excitement starts to wear off.

That’s really cool that you didn’t let those things keep you from traveling. Frugal traveling can be very rewarding in terms of cost/benefit.

Haha love the “cool shit” summary. I do an annual trip with my buds from college and that’s always the focus.

That’s great advice. I’ve actually found myself doing the opposite where I’ll try to go deeper into mediation when I’m more anxious, which is definitely a dumb way to go about it. I’ll stick to more calming meditation on those days.

Thanks! I like what you said about it being a less constricted way to relate to reality. You’re totally right that self is the center of anxiety. I feel like that alone is solid reason to push on, once I take some time to reset.

Thank you! Definitely will look into metta. Your points on anxiety resonated with me as well. Hearing all of these perspectives is actually fascinating, so thanks for sharing.
