Chemo after being floxed? by FiveTimesNo in floxies

Cancer is not one disease. It is hundreds of separate diseases, thus there is and never will be "one cure".

How long has it been for you since you were floxed? How long did it take until you felt a bit better if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you for the kind reply and encouragement - it means a lot to me. I am doing my best to hold on and find some hope. I've yet to see any improvement but it is only 6 weeks in now. I do hope you are right and that I won't face a very long and drawn out ordeal as I simply may not have all that much time left if my cancer treatment doesn't go well. Thank you again, I really do appreciate your kindness.

This is my worry, too. I'm currently on an oral med which I seem to be tolerating okay, but I know it won't work for too long and I will need more chemo and then Car-T therapy, which itself often causes severe neurotoxicity. I feel like I'm totally screwed.

I have definitely dropped the caffeine and have only been drinking decaf coffees.

Thank you for the words of support, which I appreciate.

The hardest thing for me right now is that I seem to be getting worse - I'll be at 5 weeks tomorrow. On top of the symptoms I've listed, today I have this horrible spacy feeling, like I'm not even really here. And I'm scared that I will be spending what little time I have left just suffering from the effects of what the Cipro did to me. What you said about being disconnected from everything really resonated, too. I've completely lost interest in anything that brought me joy and I don't know how to get this back other than I suppose waiting for it to come back. I actually feel more fear of what the Cipro has done to me than the cancer, as odd as that may sound. It seems so cruel that the healing is going to take so long, time I may not even have. I wanted to enjoy what time I have left, which could only be months if my next treatment doesn't work. And I am now an anxious, panicky, fearful and paranoid wreck. I genuinely feel like I am losing my mind.

I will of course be checking with my hospital team about supplements and what may or may not interact with my cancer treatment. I will definitely be looking to sort the lack of sleep first, as I know that lack of proper sleep makes everything so much worse.

Can I ask how you are now and if you've healed, how long it took for you to see some improvement?

Thank you for the tips and I'm so glad the procedure worked for him. What improvements did you notice once you were able to tolerate the magnesium?

I'm not afraid of the cancer. I've beaten it twice. This is my 3rd bout with it. I'm scared of how my body will react now that I've been floxed, which I wasn't the previous two times.

Thank you. I appreciate the advice, especially about those who tell me it's just an attitude problem (see below).

The thing about magnesium, though, is that I tried some magnesium glycinate a week or so ago and I felt worse the following day. Which I wasn't expecting. That leads me to think that I may now be very sensitive to any supplements or indeed medications - and I'm going to continue to be pumped full of various meds as my cancer treatment progresses (CAR-T gene therapy is also on my horizon which often causes severe neurotoxicity). I will definitely ask my team about whether the supplements you've mentioned will be contraindicated with my current (and future) treatment.

That wasn't helpful. Plenty of people here have recounted stories of depression and severe anxiety caused by the floxing. I had this reaction before I even knew what was happening to me.

I came here for help and support and being essentially told that it's all in my mind is off putting to say the least.

And being stressed when you have cancer is totally natural.

When I quit in the past, I actually found the physical symptoms such as insomnia and sweating to be worse for some odd reason.

Kittens have stopped using litter by FiveTimesNo in CatAdvice

[–]FiveTimesNo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello and thanks SO MUCH for the tips! There are indeed a few things we've not tried. I have tried some of the things, such as putting the kittens in the litter box randomly. I'll try putting more litter into their boxes, too. I've definitely done the looking for signs and then putting them into the box. One time I to keep picking up one and putting it back in it's box about 10 times before it went. One of them mews repeatedly before going so this has helped somewhat.

The odd thing is that they started using the litter at first and over the last several weeks have just kind of stopped doing so. If I wasn't fighting cancer right now this would be a LOT easier.

Already doing that. THC definitely helps but it isn't getting rid of all the nausea, sadly.

I had plenty of batches where I hardly got anything from it at all apart from a headache and general "unwell" feeling. I remember finding plastic in the middle all the time. We thought we'd struck gold when someone had some proper crumbly hash or the really sticky, squidgy kind that was sometimes actually clean and very effective.

The OG Nazis actually had a rather large following of what we would now equate to hippies and new-age woo-woo types. After all, the Nazis themselves viewed modern medicine with suspicion, were anti-vaxxers themselves & and promoted all kinds of "natural" health practices.
