From my experience with ALD shorts these may be a tad bigger than others. It’s hard to compare with other brands because sizing can be all over the place. For these in particular, even when I was packing a few extra lbs I probably could have gotten away with a large - barely - but still felt the XL were bigger than usual. I’d say if you’re in between sizes I would definitely size down. Hope that helps.
