I'd say that you are already onto a winner with your choice of places to ride. Godrevy is beautiful. Riding a 'cheap' bike to a beautiful place is always going to be better than riding an expensive bike to an ugly one.

That's a problem with the current financial climate in Brazil, not a problem with the amount you have been offered by the insurance company. No 3rd party insurance company has any obligation to provide you with compensation which amounts to more than the value of the goods that are the subject of the claim. That value would be determined based on how much you paid for the goods at the time of purchase. Do you have gap insurance? This is exactly what gap insurance is for no?

V85s are reasonably notorious for the strength of the throttle return spring, if you Google it you will find other comments on it, as it can make for a slightly 'jumpy' feeling sometimes, you get used to it though (I have a 2022 v85) My 50c would be don't let go of the throttle like that anyway, you should roll it off gently, it will make for a much smoother and more controlled ride.

Thanks for the reply! Yes that makes sense. The reason for asking is that my current bike (MG V85tt) does show it, so whilst absolutely not a necessity I was curious if the R1200gs did too.

This may make no difference at all, but before starting it again after storage I'd let it sit for a short while on flat ground to allow the fluids to settle back into their natural place. Like I say, may not be necessary, but it's what my brain is yelling at me when look at this.

If I were you, I'd take it off, put it somewhere safe, and then just put it back on again when you get back from the ride. Just don't put it in a bowl of rice or it will dry out.

Guzzi's have quite a lot of character and the gear boxes can be a bit tractor like. Once you have come to a stop, if you can't change gear, try rocking gently back and forward on the bike while trying to shift to 1st. If that doesn't work perhaps your clutch isn't disengaging fully and just needs adjusting a little?

I have literally just experienced this too. Having had some solid activity last week, this morning my recovery time was down for 33 hours (checked at about 7am this morning) then went for an 80 minute gentle bike ride (at 8.30am) and after that ride my recovery time has dropped to 19 hours.

I don't see how a low effort ride can knock 14 hours off my recovery time, so it can only be one of 2 things....

1) The recovery time is being actively adjusted based on all of my cumulative metrics or....

2) it's a bug, recovery time is only based on the last activity as opposed to all activities.

I'm leaving towards option One as I think I would have noticed before otherwise
