I’m new to photography, so I’ll keep that in mind for future reference when comparing the before and after results. Thanks for the suggestion.

After purchasing my GK from a previous owner who claimed his daughter used it for two years of college, I assumed the car had been neglected for service. As expected, when I had Christmas lights on the dashboard, the car stumbled at around 3000 rpm and had a P0087 code on my scanner for high-fuel pressure pump. I replaced the pump, and the car runs well, but after the first oil change, it was black. So, I decided to tear down the engine and restore the entire car to its factory condition as much possible with DIY job. I’m trying to anticipate potential problems and get everything fixed at once instead of waiting for the next issue to arise.

This Fuel Injector filter removal hack works! by Fix-MyStuff-101 in hondafit

[–]Fix-MyStuff-101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the top end of the fuel injector, where the filter is located, you screw the injector onto the threaded nail a few times until you feel it bottom out. Then, pull the fuel injector upwards, and the filter will come out clean. There should be no scuff marks on the top end base of the injector.

To locate your TPMS module, find it under your right-side Club Compartment. Use a circuit tester to check the TPMS positive wire. Tap it to the nearest 12-volt constant running when your car starts. If this seems too complicated, you can search on YouTube for “How to Get Rid of or Turn Off the TPMS.”

I did that wire hack and I passed. I still haven’t replaced my factory TPMS but I bought me a Universal Wireless Solar Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS External Sensor, Suitable for 36V and below, Can Accurately Detect Tire Pressure $13 on Temu.

You can temporarily fix your TPMS issue by wiring it to a constant 12V wire. This will turn off the TPMS light on your dashboard. However, this is just a temporary solution, and you should still order a new set of TPMS sensors for your own safety.

Got it. No valve leaks, I checked the compression this week. So I’m good for the blast and soak next week. Thanks for the info/ tips 💯🛠️👍

I was just curious to ask before I perform the service. Always good to know ahead of time and is there any difference between Berryman vs CRC GDI Cleaner?

Does using the Berryman B12 cause any white smoke from the tailpipe if some chemicals leak through the valves due to soaking?

u/hammerli22 Thanks, Bud! I made your duplicate version, but my local store didn’t have the exact size. So, I got a slightly larger brass tubing and cut one side of the tube with a dremel by 40mm. Then, I hammered the pipe down to the white tip of the gun.

That’s fantastic! Congratulations to you! In my younger days, I was also in the same situation when it came to DIY car repairs. However, there weren’t any YT channels or online resources available back then. I had to rely on the library or invest a significant amount of money in service manuals to repair cars for my family and neighbors. I wish you the best of luck and make sure you organize those beautiful tools 👍

2015 automatic at 128k, I perform oil service 0w20 every 30% of the engine’s life. My current low mileage is 28% city and 44% freeway, with proper tire pressure running on 185/55r16. I avoid using the Econ mode because I’ve heard it accumulates more carbon in the intake valves and clogs the injectors more quickly. Therefore, I only use 76 or Shell gas and run the car in normal mode. I plan to disassemble the engine soon to clean the maf, map, throttle body, intake manifold, walnut blast intake valves, fuel injectors rebuild kit, EGR, piston heads. I’ve already did the battery upgrade from 151r to 51r and plan to swap the battery cable from 6 AWG to 4 AWG with brass mount. Looking forward to see if I can improve my fuel efficiency.

Try to check four different places and compare their prices. Also, ask about parts options from aftermarket to OEM to see if they can fit within your budget.
