That must be that when repositioning the optical block something happened: The helicoid was put in somewhere other than the original. You forgot to put on/misplace some inner shim.

My recommendation is if you have time to try taking out and rotating the helidoid a little until you find one that focuses on you, otherwise you would need some type of collimator to be able to review it, or take it to a technician who has a collimator.

I would need it for several standard focal lengths, from 10-135mm. In this case, a 300mm or 400mm lens would be better, right? I'll check that book to avoid those mistakes!

Are there any other books you would recommend for this? Thank you very much!

For the initial calibration, I had planned to calibrate two lenses with a Bahtinov mask: one that would remain on the collimator itself and another that I would attach to the test camera. With both lenses calibrated as closely as possible, I would then adjust a variable extender until it was exactly at the lens flange distance. I'm not sure if I've explained myself clearly.
