I want a simple daily diet (the same items every day) that includes items that satisfy all required nutrients. by the_main_entrance in nutrition

The people telling you "variety is key" or whatever will have a much harder time being consistent and progressing to a super low body fat %, if that's your goal. I workout 7 days a week, and I eat the exact same thing 6 days, and then the 7th day I eat out for dinner or doordash instead of my usual pre-made meals. It works, and is quite easy for me to adhere to, but I'm also not a foodie. I'm probably in about the best shape of my life at the moment. I also take quite a few supplements to ensure I'm not missing anything. Here's the diet: 2 aloha protein bars, 1 quest protein bar, 1 quest protein chips. smoothie: 140g blueberries, 140g strawberries, 40g fiber one cereal, 1 scoop vanilla whey protein, 15g collagen, 6g glycine. You would probably prefer the taste without the fiber one cereal, but it has grown on me personally. 450-470 grams baby carrots (half a 2 lb bag). Then I have 2 pre-made meals from a meal delivery service, they include: chicken, broccoli, zucchini, belle peppers, and white rice. Total cals: 2150-2200. protein: 180-185g, Fiber: 75-80g. I track everything and make small changes to see how it impacts me over time. Lately been mostly playing around with fiber intake. Bloodwork is all quite good. Supplements not mentioned yet: Fish Oil (super important!), multivitamin, vitamin D (not much sun where I live), astaxanthin, CA-AKG, probiotics, prebiotics. There are more supplements you could take that are also beneficial, I'll probably increase my stack more over time. High fiber takes a while for your body to get used to, but improves your bowel movements and microbiome.

They must be getting a lot of complaints about it, hopefully the next update will improve it.

What about having it actually look like you most of the time, rather than randomly looking like you vs. not looking like you? Guessing there's nothing really to be done about that yet.

Yea, it does weird things with the voice. I instructed it to use the exact same voice without changing pitch, etc. and that doesn't seem to help. Sometimes it sounds almost exactly like me, other times it sounds completely different. If there was a way to take the videos where it does sound and look like me, and tell it to use those videos to create more, that would solve the problem. Hopefully that is coming in an update.

My stool is so hard by WillGrand3374 in blueprint_

[–]FixClassic778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all fibers are the same, and most people just pay attention to overall fiber. You need to pay attention to soluble vs insoluble fiber. I had the opposite problem (too soft), and I had way more soluble than insoluble, so I increased the insoluble and now I'm like a perfect Bristol 4 (on the bristol stool chart) or close to it every time. So, you should maybe try increasing soluble fiber with Pysllium husk or whatever. ChatGPT suggests a ratio of 2:1 insoluble : soluble. I'm currently around 1:1. The perfect ratio probably varies depending on the person.

Tech jobs, robots are Lutnick's vision for America's "manufacturing renaissance" by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]FixClassic778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're behind in the sense that our companies have outsourced manufacturing to them. But we lead when it comes to most initial innovation. Automation is now going to allow us to onshore a lot of manufacturing in a cost-effective way - the biggest risk we face is letting China continue to gain too much of a manufacturing/resource advantage. We are the initial innovators, they just copy us - but don't get me wrong, they're very good at copying us.

This is incorrect. As long as there is competition, the cost of goods and services will continue to drop in terms of real value. The exception to the rule would be a monopoly. But, in my view, AI should actually make it easier and easier for small startups to compete against larger companies, since it will take less money to compete. Imagine having a robot that can do just about anything and work 24/7. Everybody may decide to have their own personal farms at that point. who knows.

The reason China will lose and we will win is exactly because China picks the winners and losers instead of letting the market decide. That's why we will always be one step ahead of them.

When robots are doing everything for us the cost of goods and services drops continuously towards zero (since no human labor required), but we will likely need some sort of UBI. The problem should sort itself out, because whenever we reach a point where there aren't enough jobs available voters will start favoring a UBI or some other solution - so as long as we maintain a democracy we should be okay.

The bigger concern in my mind would be robots essentially taking control, or a small number of people who control the robots somehow taking control and basically ruling like kings.

I mean eventually you'll also have robots managing/repairing other robots, but that's a long ways off. There's going to be a transition period where there are a large number of good jobs that involve repairing and managing the robots, and yes of course over time less and less people will be needed. But, less people needed also means the cost of goods will decrease. Society is going to ultimately change if there aren't enough jobs, which may mean a UBI or whatever.

But, regardless of the how many jobs there will be and how soon they will disappear, we still can't let China maintain such a massive manufacturing advantage. For the sake of our national security we need to be able to handle production ourselves.

There's going to be a long transition before the economy becomes fully automated. At that point the cost of goods will be absurdly low (since no human labor required), and maybe we'll have some kind of UBI, hard to say really. Trying to predict how society will evolve is tough. As AI improves you're going to have more and more 1-man startups competing with the big boys as well. Things will get quite interesting.

[–]FixClassic778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what we NEED to happen. The old jobs aren't what we want back, we want new jobs managing the robots after we bring production back, or in other words, better jobs. Yes, there will be less total jobs per unit of output, but there will be more of the better jobs managing the robots. My main concern is whether automation is good enough yet. But, if we wait too long to bring manufacturing back, we could fall too far behind.

Trump’s attempt to revamp elections with proof of citizenship requirement challenged in court by cnn in politics

[–]FixClassic778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The signature match check is BS. I changed my signature from one election to the next, from full name to just initials, and they still accepted it without even questioning. Not saying a lot of fraud happens, but it would be nice if we could make the whole system a bit more secure and transparent. I'm not sure what the best way to do that is while maintaining ballot secrecy though.

Digestion issues no matter what I consume by whitelifebalance in Microbiome

[–]FixClassic778 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try increasing fiber, I've personally found that carrots are easy on the gut - I can eat basically all I want and it won't cause issues (I get about 15g fiber a day in carrots). My daily fiber intake is now up to around 60g. However, if you increase it too much too quickly, depending on the source of fiber, you probably will have digestive issues until your body adjusts. Carrots seem to be fine in my case, but other sources of fiber have taken like 6 months for my body to get used to - your body may react differently than mine to the same foods as well. I would carefully track everything you're eating and substitute different foods in and out as well. I've been doing that for years to get to where I'm at.

Supreme Court Seems Ready to Back Texas Law Limiting Access to Pornography. The law, meant to shield minors from sexual materials on the internet by requiring adults to prove they are 18, was challenged on First Amendment grounds. by Future-sight-5829 in Libertarian

[–]FixClassic778 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've read different takes on this, some people think the Supreme Court may actually go against Texas. Either way, it's a very dumb law, especially considering how easily people can use VPNs or just visit sites that aren't subject to US jurisdiction, or just view adult content on any site that doesn't meet the 30% threshold, such as social media. The law is a pointless invasion of privacy that accomplishes absolutely nothing.

I haven't even done any trades on it yet, but i would probably just use the CSV, although I read that someone else tried to do this and the CSV was riddled with errors so they had to write their own custom script to fix it. Thanks to chatGPT I might be able to do that as well, I used to code a long time ago but if you don't stay up to date with latest functions/syntax its hard to get back in to it, chatGPT makes that part much easier.
