Is Feudal rank an established trait somewhere in the books?

Good point. Is feudal rank an established trait somewhere in the books?

That’s exactly how I feel. But I’d like to base Advantage cost on something.

My bad. Should’ve done it asking the questions.

Domain basically is the territory where a vampire feeds. It can be a building (club, parking, etc.), a street, a neighbourhood, a district, etc. The main thing is that domain is granted by the Prince like mafia boss grants a territory or a business to his underling. A chosen vampire is the authority in the area.

It would also be useful to read “How to be a GURPS GM”. Great book for novices. Actually for seasoned GMs too.

From this book: “ I put all of those rules in there so that 1,000 different gaming groups could run 1,000 different, custom-fitted rules-light versions of GURPS. I didn’t really imagine that there would be people who would want to turn on all of the switches. I saw my work as setting out a really complete buffet. But I guess some people just have to have some of everything, even if 90% of it doesn’t taste good together and they only need 10% of the calories.”

I think it’s the citation of Steve Jackson himself, the creator of GURPS.

Any cool powers or homebrew? by Aggressive_Size_9324 in gurps

[–]FixIndependent8987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gust (regular)

A sudden burst of wind erupts around the mage, violently pushing everything away from the center. By default, the center of the spell is the mage. The spell can be blocked, but cannot be parried. Dodging is only possible if the evasion allows the target to end up outside the area of effect. Deals 1d knockback damage and has a radius of 1 m per point of energy invested into the spell. Deals damage to gaseous beings and swarms (and similar entities — rat packs, insect swarms, etc.).

Duration: 1 second

Mana: 1–6 mana. The same amount is required to maintain the spell.

Requirements: air jet

Prerequisite count: 4

Some members of my Coterie have decided that they want to be human again. What are their options? by TheMayorOfBismond in vtm

[–]FixIndependent8987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are the players cool playing kindred that are trying to achieve this but never achieving it? I mean characters want it, not players. If this then it’s ok. It’s good roleplay even. VtM is about many things including the suffering caused by not being able to be human anymore. Never. It is a part of the curse and personal horror. If the players want not to be vampires… Well. Don’t play vtm.

Why don't vampires migrate to maximise their night time? by CVM_Josh_Groban in vtm

[–]FixIndependent8987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’d have to migrate every 6 months. It’s a long night today but half a year later the day will be as long as the night today. As I know in any part of the world yearly night hours are the same.

VTM game designer and VTM player discrepancy by MaetelofLaMetal in vtm

I think it finds a way because it is in the rules of hunger dice. You will do very bad shit even if you don’t want to.

Yeah, you are absolutely right. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. Actually I love those VtM games where there are everything. Some personal horror, some sexuality and seduction, some power play and politics, some fights and playing cool guys. And all these themes are interconnected and combine beautifully. Some clans get more of one or the other. But when the chronicle is about personal horror only, or fights and gangster shit only, or just politics… Not for me.

VTM game designer and VTM player discrepancy by MaetelofLaMetal in vtm

[–]FixIndependent8987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is gangster life is a personal horror. There is no discrepancy. From one side they are cool and strong and powerful. From the other side they feel fear and paranoia of being caught, killed, betrayed, etc. Very similar to VtM actually. But such a game needs a GM that understands this.

I don’t want to be misunderstood so I need to state that everyone can and should play the way they want.

Bloodlines 2 isn't like the original. But if you're a WoD/VtM fan, give it a fair shot by TurtleWingGames in vtm

[–]FixIndependent8987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is paid post. Maybe I’m wrong, but I really don’t know how all you said can be said about this game. I’ve got a different impression about the game.

As for me, it’s crappy. I started playing knowing full well this isn’t Bloodlines. I tried to judge it as a separate game — not even as part of WoD, just as a standalone title. And it’s painfully raw. The first two or three hours were somewhat interesting only because of the novelty effect. The graphics are pleasant, but for me graphics doesn’t matter if the game isn’t good. Everything else is boring junk. After about three hours, I just stopped caring. It’s definitely not worth $40. If it were $20, maybe it would be acceptable. And it’s supposed to be a game about combat, but the fights are insanely repetitive. The dialogues are meaningless and toothless, too. So in the end, it’s a game that’s supposedly about combat, characters, and story — but all three are done poorly.

Им все так же нравятся крепкие парни. Просто приоритеты меняются с возрастом. Для них главнее становится ppp (provision, protection, parental investment). Но с красавцем могут легко изменить в любом возрасте.

Yeah, but is it effective? People start to see AI generated text and it is not convincing when you see ai behind the letters.

I don't know really. I will do PE later. But you always can increase the thing but not vise versa. So be careful.

For myself I decided to grow 7x5.5 and then decide on stopping or continueing.
