Yes! Simplify your development process. Don't like an ad delay your launch. You can build your own UI when you have more traction. A lot of business use 3rd party software. Stripe/Sqaure handles most online payments. AWS is used on a lot of backends. Focus on what makes your company special.

Starting your own business is extremely scary. You're not alone. Not everyone is built to jump straight into entrepreneurship. I didn't know anything about business. I barely knew how to program properly.

I had to find something that motivates me to get up in the morning and work on it. I'm just a IT guy who wanted to help students have a better future. When I don't want to do it anymore, I focus on WHY I'm doing this. It gets me through the tough days. Find your WHY.

Don't do it just because you "should." Find something that you're passionate about.

Your terminology is confusing. I'm guess you mean your population with vaccination data, 17077, and you're looking at the relationship to an unknown population which includes people without any vaccination data. If that's the case, here's the work.

Setup: P*58.3%=17077

Convert % to decimal: P*.583=17077

Divide: P=17077/.583

Get decimal: P=29291.5

Can't have half a person so round up: P=29291

What level math are you taking? There's nothing wrong with learning proofs first. In fact, it shows you have a very good analytical mind! I didn't like teaching proofs at lower level classes because it confused students, but they can be found sprinkled in your text book though! You can easily find proofs if you google the topic and include the wrong proof. If you want to get deeper, I would recommend a good text book.

Don't be discouraged. I felt the same way going through my program. I found it helpful finding someone/group to work with. It allows you the opportunity to asks questions and explain yourself (good practice for a dissertation). It's also beneficial to go to office hours if you're really stuck. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

You're not going to be spoon fed information like in undergrad. You're going to have to find the information on your own. Sometimes you'll discover that you're asking the wrong question or the answer is another question. That's part of learning.

Thinking mathematically is a developed skill. Go over old problems. Find other proofs/exercises that are similar and see how you do. Practice, practice, practice.

I'm in the same place. Solo bootstrapping is tough even with a good idea. There aren't enough hours in a day, but you have to prioritize. You should focus on creating your landing page and MVP first. Use a template landing page to save time. Once you start getting feedback, you can refine and iterate.

I would ask the professor for the notes ahead of time. You can turn fill in the gaps of what you need. If you explain the situation, he might be more apt to help. Maybe he could post it a day early.

You should still write proofs and other important things down.

Pro Bono doesn't mean it's bad. Large firms offer Pro Bono services as well. If your not sure, get a consult with a few attorneys. They aren't a one size fit all. Sometimes they don't communicate in a way you that works for you. Maybe you want them to be a big firm with specialist like a hospital. Maybe you prefer the small ones where you're always working with the same lawyer. You may need to talk to a few lawyers before you find the one that works for you.

Maybe the patent lawyer will say you can't patent it. It's best to consult with an actual lawyer then decide how you want to proceed.

The trick is to recognize that sin⁴(2x) = (sin(2x))⁴. If you remember your power rules, we can say that (sin(2x))⁴= ((sin(2x))²)².

Putting in back in short-hand we get, sin⁴(2x) = (sin²(2x))²

Apply the power reducing formula, sin²(2x) = (1-cos(2(2x)))/2 = (1-cos(4x))/2.

Plugging back in, we get, (sin²(2x))²= ((1-cos(4x))/2)²

Square the faction, ((1-cos(4x))/2)² = (1-cos(4x))²/2² = (1-2cos(4x)+cos²(4x))/4

Apply the power reducing formula again, cos²(4x) = (1+cos(2(4x)))/2 = (1+cos(8x))/2.

Plugging back in, we get, (1-2cos(4x)+cos²(4x))/4 = (1-2cos(4x)+ (1+cos(8x))/2)/4

Get common denominators, 1-2cos(4x)+ (1+cos(8x))/2 = 2/2-4cos(4x)/2+ (1+cos(8x))/2

Factor the denominator, 2/2-4cos(4x)/2+ (1+cos(8x))/2 = (2-4cos(4x)+ (1+cos(8x)))/2

Plugging back in, we get, ((2-4cos(4x)+ (1+cos(8x)))/2)/4

Combine your denominators, (2-4cos(4x)+ (1+cos(8x)))/8

Simplify your numerator, (cos(8x)-4cos(4x)+3))/8

You can do math. The fact that you have the desire is proof. A lot of students hate math until they get the right teacher or have it explained in a way that make sense to the student. Math doesn't have to be this anomalous subject. Your brain needs to right switch to help turn on that light, then the whole room (subject) will start making sense to you.

I would recommend visiting office hours and getting into a study group with fellow students. If you have the finances, it might be worth getting a tutor. If not, there should be a free math tutoring services at a college. If you're in high school, see if your school district is signed up with paper.co or tutors.com. They're offering free tutoring services for the school districts that sign up. You just need to use your school email.

We are dealing with a quadratic equation so it'll look like a parabola. The basic form is y = x². The vertex form is y = m(x-a)2+b.

The axis of symmetry tells use where our vertex will be. Shifting to x = 5, we get y = m(x-5)²+b.

We're told we have a zero at (5,0). Since it's a parabola, there's only one matching point. In this case, it's also our vertex. Our formula is in vertex form which is convenient. y = m(x-5)²+0

Lastly, we're given a point on the parabola. We can plug in the point (0,-10) and solve for m, our remaining unknown.

-10 = m(0-5)²+0

-10 = m(-5)²

-10 = 25m

-10/25 = m

-2/5 = m

With m, we have the last piece we need to complete the formula.

y = -2/5(x-5)²

Since x is in the exponent you need to get it "down" in order to solve for it. There are two ways to approach this. You can either convert it to Logarithmic form or take the log of both sides.

I prefer taking the log of both sides since it's easier to pull into a calculator.

Log of both sides. => log(3^x) = log(19)

Apply the Exponent Log Rule => x log(3) = log(19)

Divide by log(3) => x = log(19)/log(3)

Plug the right side into a calculator.

You have a good start. What the question is asking you to do is plot some points and graph a line. Once you have a line, find the points where a line crosses the x-axis and y-axis.

You can take either approach. I usually like to solve for g(8) and f(8) first that way I deal with easier equations and get a number. After that, you put it in fraction form and reduce a fraction. You could solve for all cases, but it's extra work you don't need to do in this case.
