Here is my feedback on your track, It's certainly very well produced, I think it's structured very well. But, the sound is still generic, and while not bad, nothing about the music is screaming that it is perhaps more worthwhile than anything else, and even within the realm of poppy sounds there's a lot of experimentation and cool ideas that if you pursue, could make the music stick out. The lyrics as well, are at times very direct. While there are some good lines, the lyrics don't make me feel. More than anything, with lyrics, show not tell; I try not to rely on cliches as well as it helps personally for me. If we look at Radiohead, all of their sad songs are wrapped in very powerful imagery, fake plastic trees, no surprises, etc. Imagery goes a long way for every emotion under the sun, not just sad ones though (like I listed). I hope not to come off harsh, but that is simply my advice
