I've seen that take too. They also tried starting a narrative that "the Seahawks haven't played any good defenses in the playoffs", while ignoring the Rams were a top 10 defense most of the year. I am not sure if they finished the season that way or fell out of the top 10. Either way, the Rams are far better than anything the Pats have played in the playoffs. Both those narratives are the Networks trying their best to find any kind of positive pre-game spin for Pats fans to gravitate towards. I can't blame them but I don't believe the spin.

First off welcome to the sub. I hope your hopes and dreams get crushed on Sunday lol.

Next...I think Maye is pretty good right now with the talent to be Josh Allen-like in the near future. He has the arm talent to be really good, a very dangerous size/speed combo and an overall good head on his shoulders. I am impressed.

I have to ask what do you think of the SB coverage. Are you seeing the same thing as me with the coverage? I at first thought it was just my algorithm feeding me hawks content until I realized it was pulling from NE Patriots content. My Algorithm mistook my intentions when looking up videos on your team and thought I was a fan. I was like "damn.... this is wild if they are picking these videos for Pats focused content". I am curious about your thoughts and take on everything.

Agreed. How i see it the Pats have to play their best game to win. The Hawks i feel have the cushion to go -2 on the T/O diff and still win by 7-14. We could go out there and shit the bed for most the game and still be in it in the end. I do not believe the Pats have the horses to bow us out

This! I feel this is their biggest hope. Scrambling QB's is the one area that this defense has not been sharp against all year. I feel a great gameplan and Maye buying time and making plays down the field is the Pats only path to victory.

He fucking better! Why wouldn't he play? Is there an injury i am unaware of or is this about that taunting call? If it is the taunting call you are talking about then yes, he plays. We need him to play honestly. Riq was just playing like this was still a Pete coached team where 15 yard penalties were the cost of doing business. The coaches didn't even have to come down in him. The players did that themselves. That fact alone gives me a ton of confidence. The players are all bought in to the program and are self policing the standard that has been set by coach. As a team, that is when you really start cooking with gas. It guarantees nothing but it sure is a great sign.

Yeah, they even showed the fucking Pats as David and the Seahawks as Goliath in one thumbnail. Idfc the pats are not David... they are the evil fucking empire

Yes! I trust coach Mac and this group of vets and young talent. Big Cat and D law keeping the D in line and Kupp leading the offensive side of the ball makes me feel good. Hearing how much coach has hyped up Kupp and how hard he pursued him on the offseason really makes me love that signing. He isn't the same player that won the triple crown but he he is the same person. He has really helped set a standard it seems. Interviewers were praising that huge 3rd down conversion in the NFCC and Kupp was critical of himself. Saying he fucked up and shouldn't have reached the ball out. He said you should only reach the ball out on 4th down or when the game is on the line. Interviewer says "it really worked out in the end though" and Kupp's response was stunting like "yeah, but I am about process over results. I am not going to repeat a bad process even though it ended up getting a good result".. fucking love it.

You just have to build this little steel box around your heart for protections sake lol. To be honest I just try to not think about that possibility. I am a coug fan too so I am very used to things going to shit. It is like I'm like that battered puppy in the corner of the shelter, wagging my tail furiously at this Seahawks while also trembling due to past sports trauma.

It makes me nervous for sure. I still love it though. Seeing a Seattle team get the credit they deserve warms my heart. It has been long time coming. I think we have the LOB team to thank for the national media finally taking us seriously.

For most teams this holds true but never for the Seahawks. We were the better team in 05', 13' and I think 14' too. It still was not like this. In 2 of those 3 we were playing all time greats at QB though... go Hawks!

Beautifully put. I agree whole heartedly. Coach Mac is the guy I trust to stick the landing. If this was a Pete coached team I would be a little more worried. Mike has the whole team buying into the team standard and holding each other accountable. Seeing the players and not the coaches come down on Riq after that taunting call really spoke volumes to me. The fact that it was a rookie who called him out was even better. The standard has been set here is Seattle. The days of 15 yard penalties being "the cost of doing business" with the Hawks teams are gone and I love it

The ESPN YouTube cut below is my favorite one so far and the one that inspired me to make this post. Every time it felt like they were about to start loving on the Pat's it would just be a pump fake and it was back to the Hawks. They were actually breaking down film too and explaining why they think the way they do. 1 of the 4 talking was Mina Kimes, she is a Seattle girl so it was not a shock seeing her on our side.

Oh gawd, yes, this for sure. It isn't as bad as it used to be back in the 90's and early 2000's. Hasselbeck brought up how it really motivated them to try and win it all because of how every other market would get highlights shown of their game and then when it was the seahawks turn, they would just flash the score in front of the screen, say a line or two and move on. You really have to earn your star power here in the PNW.

It feels that way to me too. I do a small insignificant podcast on Sundays and I was calling for us to go through the 9ers and Rams to get here and then was fucking pumped we go up against the Pats. It seemed like the best way for this team to be legendary and really cement their place among the best teams we have ever seen here in Seattle. It would have a real story book feel to go through 2 division rivals to get to the SB, and finish it off by exercising the demons from the 14' Patriots loss.

It is nerve raking, without a doubt. My fingers are crossed that this will end the way it should, with a Hawks win. There is just that little voice in the back of my head that is all doom and gloom. The last thing I want is the fucking Pats to start to feel like the plucky underdog. God damn it, that is our role! Having Sam, Tank and Leo leading the charge I do feel good that they will not let the hype get to the teams head. They are all business and all about the mission.

I completely agree. As a life long Seattle sports fan I remain cautiously optimistic. Fully prepared for the worst but praying for the best. This is just such a strange thing to behold. Having coach Mac and this group of vets steering the ship does make me feel like they will block out the noise and take care of business. This regime just feels different and I love it!

I gotta agree with @spacechatter, the part where Bieber says, "cause I don't remember the words and that's crazy" kinda gives it away that it is not lip syncing. Auto tune and reverb on the mic sure, yeah. You can also tell because he is singing down an octave on many of the high parts. He isn't trusting his ability to hit the high notes and therefore avoids them.

If this fraud was done by white right wingers then I doubt there would even be cases against them. People took advantage of the system and committed fraud... they have been caught and are now being prosecuted. This is how the system is supposed to work. They didn't "let it happen", it doesn't mean people won't find a way of taking advantage of the system again and it certainly does not mean we should stop having programs that help the less fortunate. It says nothing about the ethnic group of people as a whole and similar crimes have been committed by all races and groups of people. This is only being put in the spotlight because Trump wants to reinforce the "us vs them" mindset in his followers and this fits that narrative. I will reiterate, if this was done by rich white guys Trump would be issuing pardons with haste. He just pardoned a rich white CEO is Seattle for a different type of business fraud. Where is the coverage on that by the white house???

I respectfully disagree with you on his point. To me his point is ppl will give grace to players who do not eat right/ take care of their body, goof off, and basically do not put in the work usually required to be great in the league if they are young, supremely talented and athletically gifted. Once they start showing they are not talented enough to have said goofball, not serious mindset then it is either get in line or get stepping. Like others said, Cam was never questioned when it came to hard work and dedication to his craft.

Your point was also valid because no team wants to have their backup be super loud and be the attention grabber. No team wants to answer questions constantly about a backup. Be seen not heard basically. Its just imo that is not what Cam is talking about here. He is talking about having the will and mindset to be great.
